It had been days since the party, I was packing up getting ready to leave. I had spent New Years with my pack and it had been just like old times. Ryder had been my New Years kiss.

I felt more sparks in my stomach than before. I offered Michelle a place at my house, she kindly declined saying she needed to spend time with her parents.

Ryder looked extremely unhappy that I was going back to the city, he wanted to come with but his alpha duties kept him here.

"Don't leave, please, I just wanna stay in bed with you." Ryder said pouting as he sat on my bed taking clothing out of my suitcase right after I packed it.

"Ryder I am a teacher I can't just leave my duties like that, and we are not even together, you haven't proved to me that you have changed."

He sighed. "Well I guess I should come to the city with you and finish convincing you." he suggested giving me a smirk.

"No, you have alpha duties to tend to, and I can't focus on my kids with you."

"Well, I'm not alpha until I have my Luna..... So I'm not needed."

"Ryder, please I mean come on we need to take things slow."

Ryder sighed and got up off my bed. He kissed me, gripping the back of my head and my waist pulling me towards his body like a magnet. It felt truly and utterly amazing.

"Don't do that, I need to pack." I told him.

"Andrea, my wolf needs love from his mate, it's my obligation to get him his attention." Ryder said smirking.

I believed him even though he was teasing me. My wolf whimpered for her mate, she wanted to be with him more than anything on the face of this planet.

"Wanna go for a run tonight!" I suggested.

In the city running is hard, people will call the police thinking a wolf has escaped into their parks.

"Sure baby, we can go run all you want." he said. I smiled bright, a good run is just what I needed!

After I finished packing Ryder put my stuff in the trunk of my car so it would be ready for me tomorrow. Mel and Mika were not letting a moment go by without being on top of each other.... Ew.

Mika would come down in a few weeks and Mel would drive back here every school break until summer, then she would move here. They were so cute together and I couldn't be happier for my brother, he finally found his other half.

Ryder and I walked to the woods and started to strip out of our clothing. I phased into my white and dark brown wolf, the combination was weird but everyone said I looked beautiful. Ryder's wolf was jet black like most other Alphas.

We started to run along the forest line. My wolf took over and pushed herself faster than ever before, it was like she was a butterfly coming out of her cocoon. Ryder had a hard time keeping up when usually he would be way ahead of me.

Soon my wolf and his started playing around. They muzzled each others snout and playfully bit each other. Watching them from the inside was so cute, they were like little dogs playing.

"They love each other huh?" Ryder asked me through my mind link..

"Yeah, they do." I answered him,

"So are you really heading back to the city?" he asked.

"Yeah, my kids need me, just as much as this pack. The difference is they have their other Luna."

Ryder stayed quiet his thoughts no longer projected to me.

I shifted back into human form and changed into my clothing. Ryder was right behind me. He gripped my hand in his. I looked into his eyes he looked like a breaking man.

"I'm going to miss you." he said. His eyed looked jet black as if his wolf was taking over but not by anger but by desperation of losing his mate.

"Well, we will see where things go." I told him.

He grinned like a child on Christmas it made my heart ache for him. We went up to my room, he pulled off his pants and shirt. I slipped his shirt on to sleep in. I got into bed and Ryder got in right after me.

He held me as I tried to find sleep.

When I woke up I kissed Ryder's cheek and walked to the bathroom. I showered and changed into sweats and a plain white t-shirt.

I brushed my hair out and pulled it into a high ponytail. Ryder was sitting up in my bed shaking out his hair.

"Hey, you look nice." Ryder said smiling slightly.

"Thanks, you wanna walk me out?" I asked.

He yawned and nodded.

Mel was dressed and ready to go too. She smiled up at Mika, their eyes had tears in them. My parents where off doing pack business we had said our goodbyes already.
