There I was sitting, staring, half dead and alone when a beautiful sight came arcoss me, 'Daisy'. This is a story about true friendship and a great companion.
Chapter one meeting daisy
Once when i was living on the streets alone, sad and scared not knowing what to do or how to run my own life. But one thing changed in my life and her name was Daisy, a beatiful and amazing dog that soon became my best friend.
We met while scavaging food on the floor and i found some and gave it to her and after that she would follow me everywhere I went. So that night it was raing and freezing, she was sleeping on the other side on the road in the rain and i felt so bad so i yelled "come here doggy" and she came running over. I lifted up the blanket and let her under and we fell asleep warm and feeling very loved.
In the morning I woke up she was gone I felt played and ditched. but when i was packing up my stuff to move to another sleeping place I saw her walking towards me with food in her mouth she dropped a hamburger and my feet and a sausage roll she was looking at me. I picked up the hamburger and then she grabbed the sausage roll. Thats when I realised she had waited for me to pick first like a friend would.
After a week we were best friends, and we had been kicked out of Adelaide so we were just walking in the middle of nowhere everyday and all day. Because Daisy was a dog she hunted and I got the water.
"Daisy what was that?"
She was alert and at the same time calm. Then i new what she was listening for 'Indians'. They came from the west, north, south and east we were trapped. they had wepons and many more people. We were out numberd.
"howwwwwwlllllllll" howls Daisy, then I see wild dogs coming out behind the Indians, they attack.
"oh" I say in discust. the wild dogs are ripping off parts of the human body.
They come towards me walking with their tummys close to the ground like they were stalking me. But Daisy starts walking around me watching the wild dogs, it looks like she was telling them to back off or else. The dogs run away they could see the fire in her eyes but when she turns to me she seems appolgetic.
I say "it's okay daisy, I love you" and hugged her.
That night i made a tent with twigs and my blanket while daisy got wood and stones. Out of my surprise she had laid the rocks out in a circle with the wood next to the stones. I walk over and put the wood in the circle of stones and lit a fire, that night we stayed warm and dry.
