Peeking into my new school through the windows outside I began to become nervous. Being the new girl wasn't going to be easy I mean we were better off staying in Nashville not moving to some peppy school in California. I tried to get a hold of myself because I knew if I kept thinking like this eventually my first day of school was going to be a disaster. I checked my watch noticing it was only 7:00 wait isn't school suppose to be starting already? The school bell rang and I saw a bucket load of people filling up the hallway.
"This can't be happening!" I yelled .
My alarm clock was ringing almost giving me a heart attack I shut it off once my heart rate slowed down. "This is going to be some hell of a day." I mumbled to myself as I got out of my bed and got ready for school.
"Laurie! Hurry up!" Jase' yelled from outside the door.
"Just give me 5 more minutes Jase' I'm almost done!" I yelled setting down the flat iron.
He stopped knocking and kicked the door before he walked away. "Jerk!" I yelled as I put on the rest of my makeup and looked at myself one more time before opening the bathroom door. Jase was in front of the door before I could step out blocking my way.
"Uh can you move?" I asked trying to move my way around his body in the doorway.
"You're not wearing that to school." Jase' said looking me up and down.
"Why aren't I?" I asked challenging him.
"Those jeans are wayyy too tight!" Jase' yelled.
I pushed him out of the way and he laughed closing the bathroom door behind him. My morning was just beginning but it wasn't fully over. I waited for Jase on the stairs because he was the one who knew where our bus stop was.
"Can you be any slower?" I yelled up the stairs.
He came running down the steps a couple seconds later not giving my reflexes enough time to react to what he was about to do. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder showing my butt to the world.
"Can I at least put my shoes on?" I yelled trying to kick him in the chest.
He grabbed my shoes and bag before walking out the door. When we reached the bus stop and Jase finally put me down handing me my shoe. I ended up hitting him with one of my shoes before I put it on, the bus came and picked us up from the bus stop and I walked up the stairs as the doors opened. I sat in the front seat of the bus because I clearly didn't know anyone else on this bus. The bus was quite loud for the time being 6:45 this morning. As the bus stopped at another stop about five more people boarded the bus one was a girl who stopped and looked at me once she got on.
"You must be new." she said sitting down next to me
"Yeah, I'm Laurie." I said giving her a handshake
"I'm Jessica but everyone calls me Jess." Jess said letting go of my hand.
"What grade are you in?" Jess asked "I'm a sophomore." I said.
"Really me too!" she said smiling "Awesome." I said smirking a little.
"I'll show you around the school and to all your classes you won't have to worry about a thing. "Jess explained.
"Wow thanks a lot Jess I really appreciate it." I said.
We talked throughout the rest of the bus ride which wasn't very long. The school was huge, well in my perspective it's actually bigger than my old school.
"First day is always the hardest." Jess explained as the bus doors opened for us to get off.
Jess and I walked up the stairs to the school and opened the double doors. Just as I imagined in my dream. I thought to myself. The hallway was long and wide with linoleum floors and blue lockers decorated across the walls on each side. We walked towards the main office and along the way I saw that they had a trophy case along with pictures of past pageants and king and queens of the proms through the years.
"Wow this school is really nice." I said
"Yeah well, its gets old pretty fast." Jess said shrugging it off. We opened the door to the main office and I saw the secretary along with the door that belonged to the principle it had a black plague carved with white letters saying "Principle Clark." I
swallowed hard starting to feel the nervousness kick in. I sat in the chairs along the wall outside of the principles door Jess sat with me and the secretary looked up from her papers and turned her attention towards us.
"Can I help you ladies?" The secretary asked. Jess got up and walked over to the lady.
