Hi, welcome to What Left In The Dark interviews. This first interview is about xsnickerss. Some of you must know her for her famous books, Firefly (Aka My Crappy Teddy Bear) and Rebel One.  She has made herself know in many ways. And this is just simple questions I asked her today.

Q: Okay, sowhen you started writing, what was your first story?

A: It was years ago, called Living Next to You is Impossible. I think it was this story about two neighbors living next to each other that hated each other, stuck in a harness or something.

Q: That sounds different, I've never thought of a story like that before. Anyways, on wattpad, did you just post a story and it became popular or it was a working process?

A: It was a lot of hanging out in the share your story club and reading other people's stories. That and randomly posting on the message board on a band's fanpage that I like but I don't know how well that actually did to gain readers so... haha :)

Q: It's always a mystery. When you noticed your story became popular, what did you do?

A: I kept writing!

Q: Do you think your stubbornness has been shown in Brooke?

A: Maybe it could be shown in her on a subconscious level? But it wasn't intended. She's a lot louder and more driven than I am when it comes to well, bugging people, haha. Which is where I see her stubbornness. But I suppose it's a possibility (:

Q:Where does Lacey's quiet personality come from?

A: Lacey's personality came out partly from wanting to have a main character female that wasn't like Brooke. She was also based off of a character I used to have that was really quiet and not the most independent, and then I wanted to have her counteract Travis's loud ways. So from that, making her shy and not the boldest attitude just sort of bloomed.

Q:Hate mail, how do you respond to it?

A: I don't really think I get intense hate mail or anything. I get emails every time I get a comment or message, so when I do get something that isn't exactly pleasant, I'll just delete it from my inbox. It kind of disappears in my mind then, regardless of if it's still on Wattpad. Sometimes, getting told what people don't like is a good thing I think -- because you can't fix anything or learn if you only get told nice things. (Of course, I don't like it, haha..but I don't let it get to me)

Q: And lastly, who inspires your stories or character choices?

A: I don't really have a set thing for inspiration. Songs inspire me. Movies inspire me. Conversations inspire me. Occasionally something my sisters have said or did will get written in, but not often. Most of the time there's not really a set person for any of the characters, just thoughts and dialogue that popped into my head and they were built.
