Mum and dad were fighting again, cringing, I clung onto the sheets. I could hear the wind blow from outside; it was a stormy night. The deep breaths of my younger sister beside me, so much sounds around me. I could hear crashing from downstairs, they were throwing objects at each other. It had been like this for the past weeks, we use to be a very happy family. I looked to the blank wall, my ears in tune with the arguing. Continuing to stare at the wall, my focus was on the wall. The longer I stared I begun to see stuff, strange stuff. A face began to mold on the wall, made out of shadows. The arguing had stopped, the only noise was my sister's heavy breathing. I pushed the blankets away from my legs, standing to my feet. I walked towards the face on the wall, raising my hand to touch it. My hands were inches away from the face... when the door flew open. My mum ran in, wiping the tears from her face. Her makeup was running down her face, she looked like a wreck.
She ran over to me, hugging me tight and said into my ear "Take this necklace and run with your sister, as far as you can. Don't stop, keep running". She let go huggingg, she hurried me over to the window and woke up my sister. My sister began rubbing her eyes, still half asleep. She carried her over to me and put her in my arms. "Run, get out of here. Don't talk to anyone, don't interact with anyone, just keep running." She cried into her palms, rocking back and forth for a while before looking back up. "I love you both dearly, now go." My mum pushed me onto the balcony, I stood outside in the stormy weather. The rain was rapidly beating off me and my sister, the wind blowing our hair furiously.
I looked at my mother on the other side, staring at us, crying. Suddenly, a dark figure stood at the doorway of my room. I screamed and pointed to the man, my mother turned around and began screaming, she banged the window, telling me to go. The man stood forwards, not noticing me and my sister; only my mother. His body moved so quickly it was like he teleported. He gripped onto my mother, raising her in the air and began choking her. I screamed, crying, banging along the window. The man turned his face to me, seeing the dark, evil face, looking at me. My heart began beating rapidly, my breathing became a struggle to control. I turn and climbed down the ladders from the balcony, to the garden. Reaching the bottom, I began running... and running.
