Fear Is Just A Game: A Jonathan Crane Love Story (Scarecrow)

Faes POV

I groaned, waking up with a massive hangover was no fun at all. I looked over to Riddler's face and just had to grin, it was covered with many…interesting drawings.

I smirked and tried to sit up, but I was pulled down by a set of warm arms, I fell down onto a warm chest, but when I turned around by the same pair of arms, I saw two very blue, very confused eyes looking up at me…..

Oh no.

I struggled to stand up, to get out of this awkward position before anyone else saw.

After seeing who it was, he quickly let go, and I stood up swiftly, holding my head, then I heard a voice say “You want any sugar in your coffee?”

I looked over and to my horror saw…everyone, Bane, Waylon (not Riddler) Momma, Ivy, even Harley and Joker.

Joker looked at me evilly before continuing, “For someone who says they don’t like our dear doctor so much, you seemed to look very comfortable with him.”

Everyone laughed and I moaned. I heard a hot breath behind me say “Take no notice of it, it is just Joker's way of getting back at you, just be thankful it doesn’t involve a knife”

I nodded and Harley giggled and told her ‘puddin’ “Look at that, the lovers are having a little conversation”

I glared at her, ran over, and quickly had her in a headlock. Bane and Waylon were both cheering for me while Joker was trying to peel Harley off my hair and Momma was trying to pull me off Harley.

Not that me and Harley weren’t close, she knew it was nothing personal, just that I got a little touchy around a certain topic. Cough, cough (Crane) cough.

They finally pulled us off and we were both breathing heavily and I heard a slightly offended voice say, “I know you don’t like me, but attacking someone just for calling us lovers is a little bit of a strong reaction don’t you think?”

I snarled and hissed at him, “I don’t think so.”

I backed away to get changed in Selina's room, she said I could use her clothes until my room was finished, which was sometime in the next couple of days apparently. I wondered how it was getting done; I hadn’t seen anyone come in or out of it since….ever.

I got changed into black leather trousers and a black v neck tee shirt that had: “I don’t have enough middle fingers to let you know how I feel right now.”

Then I pulled on some ankle boots which were black lace and a peep toe with really tall heels. I love Selina's shoes, she gets the best ones ever.

I borrowed some of her makeup, I was sure she wouldn’t mind and put on a little smoky eye shadow and black lipstick.

I went back outside after brushing my hair and teeth (I obviously did this before the black lipstick) and grabbing two knives and one of my guns.

I saw Selina, Harley and Ivy outside, I mouthed “sorry” to Harley and she shrugged, having already forgiven me.

I asked Harley, “Do you want to come with me to check out the armoury?”

She laughed and told me “Of course you would want to check THAT out, instead of the costume area” I looked confused so she smiled and explained “Well sometimes we need to either upgrade or fix our outfits after meetings with a certain Batman, so we have a sowing room I guess”.

I thought about it, then told her: “Let's defiantly go to the armoury”

Ivy and Momma wanted to come as well, so we were soon all were headed to the armoury, after Momma and Ivy had gotten changed into battle friendly outfits, and I had tied my hair up into a messy bun.

We were heading upstairs when we heard a shriek of anguish. I guess Riddler had finally looked in the mirror. I was so surprised when the boys were able to keep the secret.

We laughed and ran up the stairs before Edward could find us. We reached the Armoury (I feel like it needs a capitalisation in my mind) and they threw open the doors, I gasped with delight, it was filled with so many different kinds of weapons:

Whips, I saw some with spikes, cat o nine tails, one that looked electrified and more!  

Knives, there were serrated, short, long, two pronged, anything you could imagine.
