PROLOGUE
It was a gloomy, dark Sunday afternoon. My dad had gone to a business meeting, Mom was somewhere in the house, my friends were all too busy for me and I was bored with watching TV all by myself.
After a couple of more hours of lying in front of the set; I decided to go to Dionne's café since it’s only two kilometers away from my house. As I got out of my car it felt like the cold chilled me to my bones even though; it wasn’t that cold out yet.
As I was about to enter the cafe, a beggar walked in front of me to begged for some money. I told him to go away before I called the police. I kicked him in the shins and spit in his face which felt great because beggars aren't blessed riches, like I am!
Dionne is the owner of the coffee shop where I usually go when I’m bored or in the mood for coffee or another delicious beverage. I have considered her a friend of mine for almost two years now.
"Hey Mae, Happy birthday!" Dionne greeted me as I entered.
"Thanks! I'm glad someone remembered!" I smiled, going to sit on one of the comfortable couches in the cafe.
"So...what would you like to today?" Dionne asked while tapping her pen on the table.
"I think I'll have a dark mocha Frappuccino for now." I replied happily.
"Okay then, Ma'am!" She replied and went to make it.
While I was drinking my Frappuccino, I saw an ad that said, “BELIEVE IN GOD and everything will go perfectly in your life as HE had planned.” I already have a perfect life! I live in a mansion; have my own vintage BMW and the right kind of friends. So what do I care what that ad says, I really don’t believe in all that silly religious stuff anymore it’s just worthless trash anyway! I heard the thud of loud footsteps near the door. I glanced over seeing a man who is tired and exhausted plop down on to the nearest couch. As he sits down I hear a loud bang of the thunder moving in ahead of the storm.
As I was resting and daydreaming, I received an urgent text from my Mom which said, “Mae I need you to come home right now!” After I read it...I was a little frightened; since Mom only texts me if it's urgent and usually never tells me I have to come right home. I left the café in a hurry without even saying good bye to Dionne and drove home immediately.
It was a really dark, cloudy day and with the thunder meant there might be a storm coming. I had forgotten to bring my umbrella, so if it rains I'm really going to get wet and cold. It had already started to rain by the time I got home. I parked my car and I saw my mom holding an umbrella her eyes red from crying. She was shouting at the police surrounding our house, and the media broadcasting live about something that happened there...something which I had no idea of. I rushed out of my car to find out what was going on.

Hi there! I hope you will still continue reading this. My purpose in posting this story is to spread Christianity, so that some people will be aware of their attitude towards God.
Sorry, if it lacks a lot of details and other stuff, because I'm only a 14 year old pure Chinese student and I am still not yet that good when it comes to the English grammar usage.
Thanks for all of your support!
