To my co-writer...who named this poem...

Le Nerd by Sandra Dreev

Random eccentric girl; living on a qui’t lane,

Staring at a far distance, studying propanes,

Slightly bemused, thinking how stars seem to twinkle,

“Physics,” she grunts, looking at her periwinkle.

She jots down notes on a very messy notepad,

Handwriting illegible, like from someone mad,

Grabs a flask, puts hazardous chemicals inside,

She does not care, hands beware, it’s her time to decide.

She stares intently, waiting for it to dissolve,

The silence broken with a hard problem to solve,

A close deadline to beat, whom no one ever likes,

She might be forced to hold on to evil sharp spikes.

The sun awakes, surprising the tired sleeping girl,

Freezing her up, contrary to the sun’s warm twirl,

Her deadline blinking in front of her weary eyes,

She stares for a while then says, “I need a dry ice.”

Her Science Exhibit, starting from eight o’clock,

Ran across the big clock until late five o’clock,

She came out four, but made it to present her project,

Arranged stuff, prepared the concoction, then inject.

Her project erupted with grand flying colours,

Grabbed most awards, her ego boosted with colours,

Hope was what she had, her long Patience held it up,

And that was what makes someone reach the highest top.

Sorry if it was pointless. Haha. This is rather a product of insomnia and large intakes of caffeine.
