I sighed and started to get out of the car. They were long gone, so they wouldn't see me.
And plus, me and Dawn are wearing all black. It's hard to see us when it's as pitch black outside. And me and Dawn are as sneaky as black leopards.
" Terri!" Dawn whispered yelled at me.
" What??" I said, my head snapping up. But that was right before my foot tripped over the curb and I fall forward. Into grass, luckily not the cement.
Okay, so Dawn might be as a sneaky as a black leopard, but I'm definitely not.
Dawn laughed. " Terri, you are seriously the biggest klutz I have ever seen."
I got up from the ground and dusted my clothes off. " I'm going to take that as a compliment," I said to her.
Dawn started to stop laughing and we walked towards Blonde Barbie's house. When we got to the front porch, the automatic lights kicked on. Scary the hell out of me. I actually dived for the bushes. Which earned another giggle from Dawn.
Dawn helped me out of the bushes. " Shut up," I said to her.
" But-" Dawn said, but stop herself because she had to laugh some more.
How can my own friend laugh at my despair?!
" Don't say another word," I said.
I walked ahead of her, and tried the easiest way of getting inside the house, opening the front door.
This never works. Who doesn't lock their front door??
I heard a click and the door popped open.
Obviously, blondes don't.
(A/N: no offense aqain!!)\
And she's only been blonde for a few hours. Wow. That is seriously telling you something.
" Okay, how about this: you stay out here on lookout and I'll go get the things?" I said to Dawn.
" How do I tell you if someone is coming?" She asked.
" Cell phones. Duh," I said, taking my cell phone out my back pocket.
She rolled her eyes but walked over to the bushes.
I walked inside the house and closed the door. I looked around Blonde Barbie's house. Very spacious. No pictures or anything. Just furniture. Looks like Blonde Barbie's family doesn't really take pictures.
Speaking of pictures, I haven't even taken a picture with Jake yet. Aww, what am I going to send to my friends back in California.
Oh wait, my friends BETRAYED me. LIED to me.
Gawd, why do I keep thinking of them?? This is no time to think about them. I'm trying to steal something here!
I focused back on my surroundings. I started walking up the long width stairs. In the dark, this whole house looked pretty. But I bet in the light, it'd look gorgeous.
I felt something vibrate on my butt. Weird.
It continued to vibrate and it suddenly clicked in my head that that was my phone.
I reached the top of the stairs and then took out my phone.
" What?" I whispered into the phone.
" Robin to Sparrow. Are you in the house?" Dawn said.
" What?!" I asked confused.
" Robin. To. Sparrow. Are. You. In. The. House," she said slowly, emphasis each word. Gawd, does she think I'm dumb??
" I'm not slow, you retard. I know what you said. And no duh, Sherlock. Of course I'm in the house! But why did you call me Sparrow?"
" That's your codename!" She shouted.
" Dawn! Are you serious?!" I asked, aggravated. This chick has seen way to many spy movies. We're not even spying on anyone!
" I don't want to say, 'Dawn to Terri'! Because if somebody walks by and hears me, they'll know that we broke into Barbie's house!" She explained.
" Blonde Barbie," I corrected her. " But why did you choose those names?"
Dawn made an annoyed groan. " Will you stop asking questions and get on with your mission?!"
" It's not my fault that I'm an inquisitive person," I said, smartly. I used a big word.
I started walking around upstairs. Now all I have to do is find Blonde Barbie's room. Which was pretty easy because it was the brightest room in this dark house.
Pink, pink, pink.
" Sparrow to Robin. I am so going to throw up."
Dawn laughed on the other end as I stepped foot into her room. I tried to overlook the pink and purple [the two main colors] and look at the room.
Usually, people would be scared to do this. By this, I mean sneak into someone's house and roam around their stuff. Police officers would call this burglary.
But I call this payback.
