Today had been awful, it was getting pretty late so I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. As I was coming out of the bathroom I ran into my best friend Kevin.
"Hey, I got you some chips and ice cream," he said while going to his room.
"Thanks love," I said and smiled weakly at him.
"What's up hun?" he asked worriedly.
"Well Carlos pulled me out of class today and told me some bad news." I said sadly.
"What... was it?" He asked me hesitantly.
"He said he's... um, moving."
"Oh, he...told you." He replied nervously.
"Yes, he- wait you knew!? You knew he was leaving an- did he ask you not to tell me?"
"Look Dreds, I really wish I could've told you but, he looked so hurt and vulnerable. I mean I'm not observant but I noticed how much it hurt him to keep this from you.."
"You SHOULD have told me, that way I could've spent more time with him before he left!" With that said, I turned my back to him and headed off to bed, but not before I could hear him softly say, 'I'm sorry'.
