Chapter 2 : Trapped
My heart rate picked up, my palms began to moisten as I paced, claiming a small area of the store as my own. The screams only continued, making me rub my temples in annoyance. They had to stop at some point, right? For the boy's sake, I hope so. I knew if anyone were to open the door, they'd be eaten alive. What was supposed to be a regular shopping day, turned into a horror movie. Well, it wasn't that bad. At least they were attractive... I didn't just say that, but it was true.
The store was filled with jewelry and accesories that scattered throughout the small space. Several stands rested here and there, leaving area for people to walk and mirrors in just about every corner. The walls were painted purple, my favorite color. A large counter was laid in the back for check out. You'd think a female ran this store, but you're wrong.
"Boys... and girl, please gather around. We must talk," the manager of the store said, motioning for all of us to come closer.
Talk? About what? It was just a matter of time before the fans break down the door. I better not be here when it happens.
Groaning, I followed the boys to where the man stood behind the counter. Now standing to Harry's left, my body grew tense once I finally took a glance at each of them. Harry, Louis, Liam, and Niall stared intently at the man. I locked eyes with Zayn for a split second before I choked on the saliva I attempted to swallow.
"Are you alright?" Zayn asked, raising an eyebrow. All eyes were now on me, each filled with worry as they watched me cough up a lung.
"I think she's choking on her own spit!" Niall yelled, sending everyone into a pit of laughter.
Oh, that's funny? Yeah, 'cause seeing an eighteen year old, such as myself, choking is the funniest thing in the world to One Direction. A bunch of immature arseholes if you ask me.
"Niall, apologize! She's getting bloody angry. That's no way to treat a fan!" Liam shouted, slapping Niall in the back of the head.
I snickered as he rubbed the spot, uttering something incoherent under his breath. Hearing my laughter, he shot me a look, making me stop.
"I'm sorry for their rude behavior," Harry said, grabbing my attention. Looking at him, my eyes locked with his beautiful green ones. His lips curled into a smile, flashing me his killer dimple.
Attractive group of boys, yes, but this is not the time to be thinking about all that! We need to find a way out, and fast before I do something stupid.
"Niall, Louis, Harry, Zayn, Liam and girl, stop bickering! It's not like I'm not happy to see a famous group of boys in my store, but the customers are out there and I'm not selling anything right now." The manager said, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
I narrowed my eyes at the old man, taking in the graying of his hair. "My name is Ella!"
"She's got quite the attitude on her, eh?" Niall asked, laughing.
I shot the blonde a look as the others nodded their heads in agreement. I haven't even known the man for twenty minutes and I already wanted to bite his head off.
"I like it," Harry added, smiling down at me as he ran his fingers through his curly hair.
I rolled my eyes, looking away from the imbecile.
"What's this? Did 'the look' not work on Ella, Hazza?! Louis wondered, pretending to be bewildered.
The room grew silent, the only thing audible were the screaming fans, of course. Everyone stared at each other intently, waiting, daring for anyone to say anything. Fully annoyed, the manager stormed off, leaving the six of us alone in his store.
I should steal stuff just to piss him off. What manager walks away from a group of teenagers in a store? Leaving them alone with precious merchandise was brilliant! Being the nice girl that I am, I won't touch a thing.
"Guys, is there anyone coming to rescue you? I'm tired of sitting in this store."
"Yes, Niall celled our manager a few minutes ago." Liam replied, removing his brown hair that shielded his eyes.
Sighing, I walked away from them and headed to the front of the store, taking in the girls faces as they stared into the store. The mob only appeared to have grown larger. Some females pushed others out the way to get a look. Once they did, the look on their faces were priceless once they caught a glimpse of them.
