Dear Diary 1594

18/02/1594

We were there, outside the woods hunting, for juicy meat for our tribe. As we walked along silently, through craking branches, suddenly we could hear the stream where the buffalo drank water. When we came back to Banji's tribe, everyone was so happy because we had hunted a large buffalo and couldn't wait to eat it. I went to the Chief, because he had sent for me.

''Tut-tem, (thats my name). How is everything?'' Asked the Chief. I could see sadness and terror in his eyes. I didn't notice that there was something wrong , so I just kept answering ''yes everything is alright.''

Outside the tent I could see my wife Ack and our son Bay, they are truly the best thing that haas ever happend to me.

Later, when all of the villagers gathered around the camp fire, the elders prepared a scary story to scare the villagers. Most of the women in the tribe had to look out for children and prepare the meal for the men who had been out hunting that morning. The men, as usual, had gotten up about three or four in the morning, and gathered by the secret oak tree. The hunters had come back about three in the afternoon, tired but happy.
