"Here it comes!"
The ripples of water soon became waves that in turn became a storm.
A low growling echoed across the landscape of the common, the wind flung my hair back.
An immense number of tendrils pierced the air, attaching to different parts of the beach and the arcade. The giant beast slowly dragged itself from the sea and onto land as I looked on in horror.
The parlor splintered into thousands of pieces before my eyes.
This is what we had to fight...
It's shadow alone blocked out the sun, the entire creature must have been over 60 feet tall, I wasn’t sure if I could even jump that high.
Its huge body was a tangle of rusty, bloody flesh and seaweed.
It had a huge octopus like head with two massive red muscular arms like the Wolfhead's only enlarged. The bottom half of its body was a mess of white, slippery tendrils.
The kraken roared again with fierce venom in its beady eyes, staring down at the common ready to swat us like flies.
Chris moved first, leaping into the air and dodging an anticipated attack from one of the tendrils. He spun to the side as the tentacle shot past him. In a split second Chris drew his sword and sliced the tendril before it could retract. The slimy digit fell to the ground with a floppy crash.
The creature howled, bringing a number of tendrils together in an arc to swat him out of the air. He flew downwards to avoid the attack landing by the road. A number of cars were still parked by the pebbles where the people had left them in efforts to get away from the sea.
The creature brought its tendrils up ready to pummel Chris into the ground when I gathered my focus on the surrounding vehicles, flinging them into the kraken.
It gave out a series of grunts as each vehicle ploughed into the beast's stomach, more vehicles joined the carnage as Chris began to fling them into the prelude.
When the parking spaces were empty, the beast was pinned down under a fifty-car pile up. Chris struck home by leaping forward to land on the creature's head.
Positioning his blade over its eye he stabbed at it ruthlessly, blood gushing from the socket. It squealed in agony, flinging the cars away to get him off but Chris clung on, gouging out its eye.
I tried to throw the cars back onto the kraken but it's tendrils swatted them away in defense, by the time it stood up again I could see Chris hanging for his life, clutching the handle of his cane that remained stuck in the monster's mutilated eyeball.
The blood that ran down its colossal frame appeared black and sticky where covering Chris with a fountain of octopus ink.
"I can't stop it! Alex! Do something!" Chris yelled at the top of his burnt out lungs while swinging from his grip on the cane.
I searched around frantically for anything to throw.
"Use the..."
"What?"
"Use... Arca..." Chris' voice was drowned out by the monster's howls as it swung its head around to shake him loose.
"What are you saying?"
"Arcade!"
My mind clicked, no... No way I could do that."
I turned my head to stare at the arced, the building was at least ten times the size of the pizza parlor, I couldn't possibly lift it.
I heard Chris yell again above the carnage. "On three!"
"Alright!" I began to will the arcade into moving, I was fine with cars, but a whole building? Jesus!
"Three!"
A low rumbling sound began to rise up from the distance.
"Two!"
The kraken lifted its arms ready to grab Chris, its tentacles rose also.
"One!"
The tendrils inched closer to Chris, now hanging in the open.
"Noooooow!!!"
I flexed every part of my brain into making the building move, at first it didn't even budge even with Chris' aid.
Then miraculously the complex began to lift. The second it inched up into the air it felt like my brain wanted to crawl out of my skull, every nerve was on fire.
I yelled in agony, concentrating on lifting the arcade. "Come on!" I strained under the weight and went down on one knee. My arms remained outstretched forcing the building into the air.
The building shifted slowly over to the left and I felt my nose leaking, small droplets of blood hit the marble where my nose had begun to bleed under the immense weight.
"Move you bastard! Move!"
