"Okay, class. You're dismissed! Have a fun Spring Break!" Mrs. Hamilton, my cosmetology teacher said to the class, and everyone jumped up. I walked out of the classroom with my best friend, Laura.

"Any plans tonight?" She asked me as we walked through the busy halls.

"Nope," I replied, popping the "P."

"Neither do I. Let's just watch movies," she said, and I nod in agreement. We get in her car, and she rolled the top down. She put on her sunglasses and screamed as she backed out of the parking lot. I laughed and shook my head before putting on my sunglasses.

On the way home, we blasted music and shouted the lyrics. We got odd looks from people, but we just laughed.

"And now we're going back in the day, playing some old hits," the radio guy said. "Here is Rain by Lisa Johnson." I gasped and my eyes widened. I looked over at Laura and she was smiling.

"Oh, this is my jam! .... EVERY SINGLE DAY, I WANNA TELL YOU HOW I FEEL," she screamed at the top of her lungs, and I couldn't help but smile.

"Shut up." I smacked her in the arm, and she gasped.

"Don't hit a person while they're driving," my best friend said sternly, and I rolled my eyes laughing.

After my song finished, another old song started to play.

"Your boy boy b-b-boy b-b-boyfriend...." I looked over at Laura with wide eyes, and she quickly turned the radio off. She knows the whole story about Kendall and I.

"Who needs to listen to music? Not us." She laughed nervously and I gave her a sad smile.

It was mostly silent the rest of the way home, except for when Laura saw cute, shirtless guys running down the street; That's when she would scream and honk.

She pulled into the parking lot of the apartments, and I got out, slinging my bag over my shoulder. I quickly unlocked our apartment door, and walked inside. Throwing my bag on my bed, I sighed. My stomach growled and I walked into the kitchen of the apartment.

"You hungry, dude?" I asked Laura, opening up one of the cupboards.

"Little bit," she replied, turning on the TV. "Oh, look! TMZ is on!" I rolled my eyes, getting out the pancake mix. Hey, I'm craving it.

"Why do you watch that crap?" I asked, walking to the fridge.

"Because sometimes the crap is good," she replied, and I rolled my eyes.

"Kendall Knight..," the TV guy started, and my head perked up. I quickly walked to the couch, and Laura was about to change the channel; Probably thinking I'd get upset.

"No, no, keep it," I told her, and she shrugged. I sat on the couch, my eyes glued to the TV. Next to the guy, there was a picture of Kendall and Jo Taylor; Kendall's... Girlfriend.

"Kendall Knight popped the question to his girlfriend of 4 years, Jo Taylor," was all I heard before it felt as if my world totally stopped. My heart dropped and I couldn't move.

"Oh my...," Laura said, her eyes wide. She quickly turned off the TV. "Who needs TV? Not us." She laughed nervously, but I just sat there, not doing anything.

It was silent as my eyes started to water.

"Lisa?" Laura asked quietly, looking at me. I shook my head, wiping under my eyes. I quickly stood up and walked to my room, slamming the door. I jumped on my bed, digging my head in my pillow. Sobbing into it, flashes of Kendall and I went through my head.

I stuck my hand under my pillow, pulling out a picture frame with a picture of Kendall and I in it. Sniffling, my fingers brushed over the glass.

"Kendall," my voice cracked, and I shut my eyes tightly, tears slipping down my cheeks. There was a soft knock on my door, and Laura walked in. I looked up at her.

"Hey," she said smiling. She walked over and sat next to me on my bed. "What's that?" She pointed to the picture I was holding. I slowly handed it to her, and I watched as she looked at it.

"That was taken on the roof... Where Kendall and I used to always go," I told her and she just stayed quiet as she looked at the photo.

"Listen, Lisa. You need to try and forget about Kendall. I know you still love him, since he was your first love, but there's a guy in this world waiting to meet a girl like you," she said, looking up at me.

"I've been told that before." I couldn't help but laugh, and I sniffled right after.

"It's the truth."

"I know it is." I sighed and thought for a second. "Hey, I have an idea and I think it'll help me get over Kendall."

"Really, what is it?" Laura smiled.

"I think I should go visit him in LA," I responded and confusion washed over her face.

"How's that going to help you get over him?" She questioned.

"Well, if I go visit him and see how happy he is with Jo, then maybe I'll realize he's okay without me, and BOOM," Laura jumped a little bit, "I won't be so... You know, sad anymore."

"Okay." Laura nodded. "I understand now."

"Yeah." I smiled.

"Can I... Come?" She asked, hopefully.

"Sure!" I exclaimed and she smiled. "I can show you around."

"Yay! Thank you!"

"No problem. Now since we're on Spring Break, we should go soon," I told her.

"You're right. I'll go buy the plane tickets." I nodded and she handed me back the picture before leaving.

I looked down at me and Kendall's smiling faces. My fingers lightly touched his face, and I couldn't help but smile.

"I'll be seeing you soon, Kendall," I said, softly.
