----------SELENE'S POV-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

***A FEW MONTHS LATER***

Alex was about four months old right now. I watched her sleep as I stroked her silky soft hair. Alex was a sweetheart, and easy to take care of. She rarely cried, and talked a lot. Damion was a great father, though he tended to pack her around a lot. Beline spoiled her, or tried to anyways. If Alex didn't want something, she made it clear. Beline had given her a book once, and Alex threw it back at her face. She was pretty funny, and soo cute.

Damion and I managed to spoil her more than Beline. Probably because we were her parents. I picked her up carefully, so I didn't wake her, and cradled her close to my body. Alex sighed in her sleep and shifted so that she was snuggled up against my body. I smiled at her. She was a bit smaller than she should be, because of Harrij. No, I had promised myself not to think of him. I needed a fresh start.

The door swung open, and Damion entered the bedroom. He smiled at seeing us, and came over to join us. "It was said that you can return to your Death-Dealer duties when she hits six months," he said quietly.

"I think I'll return when she's about a year old. I don't want to be gone too much."

Damion smiled and lightly kissed me, then turned to Alexandria, who was waking up. She glared at us, like it was our fault she was awake. I laughed. The expression was so comical on a baby's face. Alex didn't seem to know why we were laughing, but she beamed, wanting to be apart of the fun. Then she gurgled and started gumming her fist.

"She definantly has your charm," I told Damion.

"Let's hope not," he muttered. But he smiled at her. "I'll have a hard enough time keeping guys away from her."

"I doubt it. She threw a book at Beline. She probably won't want anything to do with guys."

"I hope."

"You're such a dad."

"I am a dad," he replied proudly, tickling Alex. She giggled, then scowled at him. I burst out laughing, and even Damion chuckled. "But you are probably right." He carefully took her, and held her right-side up. Suprised, Alex stilled for a moment. We hadn't held her that way yet. But she quickly got over it and occupied herself with yanking on his hair. It didn't seem to bother him.

I watched father and daughter play, and smiled. I had a family. They loved me, and I loved them. There was no way I was going to let that go. Damion leaned in and peaked me on the lips. Alex scrunched her nose up for a moment, then brightened.

She opened her mouth and rested her lips on my cheek. I grinned and gave her a kiss back. She laughed and did the same to Damion. Alex snuggled in between us, yawning, and falling asleep. I watched her sleep, and happiness welled up in me. I was content and satisfied, loving the little girl and the man next to me. My life was perfect.
