Hey, my first book on Wattpad! If anyone actually reads this I will be amazed. Please comment.

I dedicated this bit to XmayreyXX, she's one of the best friends I have. Read her books too, they're AWESOME!

I stared out across the field, my mind racing. Today could be my last. Yet I was surprisingly happy. Today could be my first as a warrior. I had trained for this my whole life. Protecting my family, my pack, my friends, it was my main priority.

My father turned to me from the front of the pack, he was a well trained warrior, and was meant to intimidate the enemy. He gave me a thumbs up behind his back. Warriors were usually so serious, it was unbelievable. But dad was there to lighten the mood, usually when people got stressed they wouldn't be able to concentrate, and would be less efficient fighters.

I gave him a thumbs up back, waiting. I was shaking slightly, from the adrenaline rush I was now experiencing. I wanted to fight, to prove my loyalty, and determination. But I couldn't bare the thought of losing all the close friends I now had, and my little sister, Hope.

Finn silently nudged me lightly with his foot. He pointed to where the Alphas had finished talking and ours was smiling. Obviously a peace treaty had been made. I frowned, my first fight hadn't even happened.

Our Alpha walked back, 'A peace treaty has been reached. You are free to go as you wish.' He said in a booming voice. Most people groaned, I saw my dad walk to the trees to shift. We'd planned to meet at home, all the others would be worried sick now anyway.

Finn walked over to me, a huge grin on his face. 'Do you remember our little bet?' He asked. I groaned. I'd forgotten all about it. Finn had seen enough, 'fights' to know they never actually happened. I, stupidly, hoped that this would be a real fight. Finn was right. Again. I looked in my pocket for the ten pounds I owed him.

Finn was always making bets, and he almost always won them too. He laughed at the look on my face. 'You don't owe me anything, the look on your face right now is priceless.' He laughed again.

I scowled, and he laughed even harder, doubling over in the process. I started cracking up just looking at him. 'Fine then. Bet you a fiver I can beat you home.' I stuck out my hand. He grinned and shook it. We raced to the trees to shift. When I was ready I rushed back into the clearing, holding my clothes in my mouth. Finn stood there, his tail wagging joyfully.

Everything sounded different now that I was in my wolf form, capable of anything. 'Three, two, one!' I said, in the mind link. I ran as fast as I could, enjoying the effortless sped that came with being a wolf.

I wish it could always be like this.
