I bet you can't fall for me

Blake Mathews was at another party. He didn’t even know who’s party it was but he had to attend, otherwise it was social suicide.

He had a girl on his lap kissing his neck and a beer in his hand. Any other guy would be enjoying this but this was a typical thing for Blake and eventually the effect wore off on him. He pushed the girl off him and went to go grab himself another drink.

“Ey man! Enjoying the party?” His friend Luke who was definitely wasted asked him.

“It’s aight.” Blake shrugged and walked away. Everything was boring. His entire life was boring, but from someone else’s perspective they’d say otherwise.

Blake was hot, popular and was lowkey smart. He even came from a decent family and lived in a big house. Yet everything was boring.

His thought was interrupted when he saw the prettiest girl he ever laid eyes on. That sounded cheesy but it was true.

She didn’t cake on make-up like other girls, and she definitely didn’t need it either. He locked eyes with her.

‘I’ll make you mine.’ He thought.

He was used to easy girls, he never expected this girl to be any different.

Lauren's POV 
What was I doing at a party like this? Simple, my best friend forced me to come.

You see we come from two separate worlds. The worlds that only exist in teenagers’ minds. My best friend is popular and gorgeous.

Thus she belongs in the popular category. I, on the other hand am not pretty or popular. I belong in the unknown category.

My best friend is Haley Carson, considered a goddess among practically everyone who lays eyes on her.

I am Lauren Jones. Typical name for a typical plain girl. I usually had unruly curly hair and glasses, but tonight Haley gave me a make-over. Against my own will of course.

Snapping out of my thoughts I noticed someone staring at me; Blake Mathews. He also belonged in the popular category. I’ve known him since elementary, but he never knew who I was. He came face to face with me and smiled.

Uh okay?

“Hey, need a drink? I’m Blake by the way.” He greeted smoothly. I figured he wouldn’t recognize me. I knew what he was trying to do, and it wasn't working on me.

“Okay ‘Blake by the way’ I’m not interested. Go scam another girl.” I replied coldly. I guess he wasn’t used to girl’s not falling for his charm.

I walked away not bothering to look at the expression on his face. By Monday he wouldn’t see the girl I looked like today. Back to the nerdy plain Lauren.

Blake’s POV

Damnit! What type of chick was she? Was she already too wasted that she couldn’t see who she was talking to? I needed to find out what her name was!

I bumped into Hayley, she was a pretty down to earth chick and we’ve been friends for a while. Not the type I’d be interested in though.

“Yo Hayley, who’s that chick right there?” I pointed towards her.

“My best friend Lauren Jones, why?” She suspiciously raised her eyebrow at me. Of course Haley would be friends with a hot girl like her.

“She’s hot.” I shrugged.

“Don’t even think about it Blake.” She warned. What the hell was that supposed to mean?

“What? If she’s your best friend how come I’ve never seen her or heard about her?” I questioned.

“You’re a dick. We’ve all been going to school together since elementary. Lauren isn’t the type of chick you think she is. Don’t even try to mess with her. I’ll rip your balls off.” She glared and I got the message.

“Alright whatever.” I still couldn’t believe this girl.

I’ve never seen her in my life! Was Hayley bs-ing me?!

Lauren Jones, I’ll remember that name.

The next morning I woke up hung over in a room, not mine, I got dressed and headed downstairs to raid whoever’s fridge was there.

“Blake! Sup man?” I laughed at how my friend looked. Clearly he had a fun night.

“Great, how’d your night go?” I asked casually even though I really didn’t care about what he did.

“Awesome as hell! Hottest chi-”

“Speaking of which. Dude have you heard of Lauren Jones?” I asked and he bursted into laughter.

“Only the biggest geek I’ve ever seen, why man?” He asked and I was confused.
