When Marianne moves out of a little town in France after the abandonment of her parents, she is forced to live with her brother who she knows little about in one of the biggest cities in America. She discovers a new life; a life filled with contentment, mirthfulness and above all, love. But before she reaches this she must overcome obstacles in her path, obstacles that may fracture her hope but she will follow through, she will not throw away her dream of finally being able to be free and fulfilled.
Having nearly given up through betrayal, Marianne refuses to show her true feelings but reaches out to express them using her trusty white piano. Through college, Marianne gets hired as salesclerk at the local music store and befriends a girl there called Lucy and she turns out to be part of a memory of her past.
Joshua Harris has just moved into town, he recently witnessed his mother's death and now he and his father are searching for a new beginning. Having to go to the shops for groceries, Josh stops at a nearby music store to mend his diseased mothers broken guitar. On walking in, he hears a soft melody of which reminds him of his childhood.
Marianne and Joshua's paths will cross in search of both of their happiness'. How will this story end, you ask? Read this story and find out. It will bring tears to your eyes but not without a few laughs in between. (Hopefully LOL)
