I awoke to a high-pitched lady's voice. The flight attendant spoke,
"Thank you for flying with Cherry Flights! We hope you have a wonderful evening. For now, please buckle your seat belts for a bumpy ride, we're going down!" She stopped talking but people started buckling their seat belts and screaming in fear of a crash. "Oh, no, everyone, please remain calm! That was a joke! Please remain calm!"
Everyone sighed in relief and continued to talk until it was time for their arrival.
I looked out the window and saw the upcoming airport. As soon as we landed on the runway with a little thump, someone began jabbing my side. I turned and balled up my fist, about to punch whoever was doing so in the face. But then I stopped completely when I saw that it was just Henry; I kissed him on the cheek instead. I then gently took his hand into mine and interlocked our fingers. To my dismay, he let go - to be the gentleman he is and get the luggage, - of course, I thought to myself.
So we were off, holding hands in an akward way due to the single file line. Tracy, who was already strutting off the plane, turned back once to face Henry and myself, but of course, she only glared. I sighed and looked back to see Emma packing her up pickle jar stuff. While she was walking, the lid on the pickle jar fell off; in attempt to pick it up, Emma poured the pickle juice all over a little girl with her doll. The poor little girl began to cry and jump, trying to get the pickle juices off of her and her dolly.
My mom quickly picked up Emma, who had the lid in her hand and an empty jar in the other. But, my mother being tired, didn't even notice.
I then averted my gaze back to Henry. He seemed a little stiff from the ride, but other than that, he seemed perfectly fine.
Right when we got off the plane, I looked around. The walls were filled with posters of popular vacation spots, hotels, maps, and popular destinations for tourists. The carpet was navy blue. I could also tell that the airport was two stories tall, and that we were on the second floor. Resturants also littered the area, but in a nice way.
My mom caught up with Tracy and set Emma down, who put the rest of her stuff in her pink Sleeping Beauty backpack. It had a couple of green pickle juice stains on it. I picked her up as mom began to scold my older sister.
"You can't just run off like that! You could of gotten kidnapped or-" Tracy cut her off.
"Me getting kidnapped? As if! " She stated, looking at her nails. I sighed and put Emma on my shoulders, who shouted gleefully.
"Dwagon wide! Dwagon wide!" I smiled and spun in a little circle. Emma laughed.
My mom sighed and motioned for us to follow her. Emma started to cry, saying she was hungry, and we changed our direction to some sea food resturant which was nearby.
"Well, to tell you the truth, I'm a bit hungry as well," Henry said.
I smiled at him. "You're a such a wolf, you're always hungry!" I whispered playfully. He smiled one of his genuine smiles that made my heart melt - in a good way though.
When we got seated, a waitress came over and handed us menus.
"What would you like to drink?" She asked, smiling at us while taking out her notepad and pencil.
"I'll just have a Diet Coke please," Mom told her kindly. She wrote it down and looked at the others. Tracy ordered Sprite, I ordered Dr. Pepper, and Henry ordered a Dr. Pepper as well. Emma ordered some pickle juice, and when the waitress raised an eyebrow, she explained how she spilled her pickle juice all over a girl and that she needed more for her voodoo project. The waitress looked away in disgust, but still wrote it down.
