you gave me your hand and said “trust me”
I took it reluctantly
you let me fall
but helped me back up
you said "trust me"
and I did
you took me to the ocean
so bright and blue
terrified I was
for I cannot swim
you pushed me into the water
I cried and splashed around
then you jumped in after me
and pulled me out
"trust me" you said
and pushed me in
this time I was able to swim aboard
holding onto you with such fear
I'm scared of you
but I still held on
you said "trust me"
and pushed me in again
only this time I didn't notice you tied weights to my ankles
and you leave me here to drown

Lesson learned: never date a guy your closest friends don't approve of 'cause he's probably not the one for you. ;)
