A saddened cry beseeches me
Asking all to leave her be
Wishing only to be left alone
And that her breaking heart was stone
Life is changing all too soon
Popped just like a bright balloon
Darker colors surrounding them
Her glad expression turning grim
Tears are spilled in midst of battle
Through a worthless human's prattle
Looking for a heart of gold
She wanders everywhere, so bold
Waiting for a glimpse of care
In her eyes I see despair
Wondering where in life she'll find
Someone who can calm her mind
A person who will love her so
Despite her flaws she proudly shows
Whispering to herself at night
Shivering with a mortal's fright
Do we get what we deserve
Or does life hit serve after serve
And are we destined to live a path
Predetermined through Fate's own wrath
Left to the mercy of our dear God
Or can we escape our human pod?
