Genesis Gryffindor and the Fight to Survive - Book 4

Later that night students were gathering in the Great Hall where they would be getting the three Champions from Hogwarts, Beauxbaton, and Durmstrang. This should be interesting to see who is chosen to come forth and compete. Out of those brave souls that placed their name into that Goblet who would be chosen.

I on the other hand had taken the advantage of having and empty common room and was spending quality time with Fred. I laid across the sofa with my head in his lap while he played with my hair talking about the newest product he had perfected for the store.

He said this would be the greatest seller among the young females because it was a potion that showed who like you or not. Sort of like a backwards love potion. It showed who had feelings for you and who didn't. Fred also expressed that he was making a line of potions similar to this one that came in a attractive smelling perfume for both males and females. The only difference was that the different sprays showed who was your enemy was, who was a true friend, and who was planning to do harm. The ideas were endless in Fred's mind.

"In the future if you ever need a faithful employee just give me a ring. It'd be an honor to work for you." I said as I ruffled his hair.

Fred brought his lips down to mine. "You would be one of the first I call." He promised. "After all it was your idea."

I looked up at him curiously. "What was my idea?" I asked him.

"Remember you said that sometimes you wish you could tell who was truly your friend or not. Well that gave me the idea what if you could actually tell if someone was your friend or not by a simple spell or candy. But then came the problem, if someone hated you they wouldn't want to take something from you so I made it into something simple like a spray." Fred explained.

"I think someone would notice if they were sprayed with a perfume." I then added.

He nodded his head. "Exactly, the fancy smells are optional, I also have those that have no smell at all. Those are the ones that cost extra."

Well I had to hand it to him he thought of everything. Fred moved me to my feet and then took my hand before he towed my upstairs to the boys dormitories. As I was passing over the threshold I stopped and pulled my hand from his grip.

"I'm not allowed in there." I whispered as if McGonagall was watching me.

"Don't be silly girls can enter the males dormitories but the males can't enter the females." He grabbed my hand and pulled me inside. Like he said nothing happened. "I don't understand the reasoning behind that but I guess it's worked because it's still in place."

Fred pulled me over to his bed and then let go before he began rummaging inside his trunk. After about a minute or two he extracted a diamond shaped bottle with a gentle pink liquid in it.

"This is one of my products." He said as he pulled the cap off and sprayed it on me. A second later he began smiling.

I looked at my hand and saw it was glowing a faint shade like that of the liquid in the bottle. What did it mean?

"Well it works." He whispered as he pulled me into a hug.

"What was it supposed to do?" I asked as I wrapped my hands around him.

"It's supposed to tell me whether or not you love me." he responded.

I looked up at Fred with a smile on my face. "Well then lover boy, do I?"

Without answering Fred brought his lips to mine. Seconds later we jumped apart as Ron and Harry entered the room. Their body language sugguests that the two had an argument or disagreement of some sort.

Just then Seamus walked in. "Harry how did you ever get your name in that cup? Wait until Fred hears this."

Fred looked over to Harry. "What happened?"

Seamus came over and began filling us in on what we missed. It seems that Hogwarts had two Champions meaning the tournament had four. The other three were Fleur Delacour, Viktor Krum and Cedric Diggory. This should be interesting.
