Chapter 4

Nick's POV

I had to solve this. I couldn't bare to see Ashley and I fighting like this or her avoiding me like I was some kind of infective desease. It just bothered me a lot and i don't get bothered easily. I rapidly took out my phone and texted Ashley. I have been waiting to do this for a few days now but I think today is the perfect day.

I have to talk to you. Can you meet me at the football field in ten? I will be waiting for you until you come.

-Nick

Done. Knowing Ashley there is a fifty percent chance that she will come. If she's in a bad mood, she won't but if she's in a good mood, she will. I just prayed that she wasn't in her bad moods.

I looked around from the bench I was sitting on. It looked perfect. I had set up an exact replica of our first date. I remember it so clearly, once I had that date I knew Ashley was different from other girls. I got more attracted to her everyday until one day it happened. Don't ask me why I cheated on Ash with Emerald. I must have been drunk or something for three months straight. If I end up with Emerald one other time, I might need to get help.

This is no vaccine for stupidity.

Dear conscience, please shut up.

In the middle of the field, I set up a table for two with the exact meal we are. When I say I remember the date perfectly, I'm not exaggerating. There was a beautiful rose placed in the middle of the table with everything else set spot on.

Obviously I couldn't ask her to be my girlfriend again but I could ask her to give me one more chance and start fresh. Ugh, I sound like something that came out of chick flick movie.

I had planned this out already ten times in my head. Wait, now I definitely sound like something out of a chick flick movie.

As soon as she came, I would grab her hand and take her to table and from there I will tell her everything I felt. Ashley was the only person who actually liked me for me and not for the hottest guy in school - even though I am - or for the popular guy at school. She knew the real me and I can't believe I only noticed that now.

Finally I saw a figure heading my way, assuming it was Ashley I got off my seat and headed towards her. However as soon as the light captured her face, I wanted to turn back.

"Emerald, what are you doing here?" I exclaimed. I can't believe this girl would come at this time. Talk about bad timing.

"I wanted to see how you are doing." She stated sweetly while taking steps closer to me.

"What are you talking about?" Was was this slut playing at?

"Aw, can't see my boyfriend." She slowly put a hand on my shoulder as she came even closer closing the gap between us.

"Emerald, for the last time, I am not your boyfriend! I broke up with you for goodness sakes!" Did this girl have memory problems?

Emerald took steps closer to me, even though we were already close enough. To avoid her, I took steps backwards but only to fall down on the bench.

Emerald slightly chuckled while wrapping her hands around my neck and sitting on my lap. Before I knew it, my lips were crashed into hers. This felt wrong especially when it was with my annoying ex. After remembering who I was kissing, I placed my hands on Emeralds shoulders to push her away but Emerald had already pulled from the kiss. She was looking behind me staring at something while smirking. Right then, I wanted to shout at Emerald but once I turned around to see what Emerald was so happy about, I wanted to cut her head off. Literally.
