Review of Out of Time by JoeTite!
Michael Hallick, the main character of this story, is attempting to build a time machine.
This is not like any other time-travel story I have ever read. The way that Michael discovers time-travel is realistic and, thanks to the authors writing skills, quite entertaining.
The characters are all believable (the teenager who 'just wants to fit in', the wife who supports her husband but has to draw a line, the idiots at work etc.)
Also, the author obviously knows his science! That's always a good thing to have under your belt when writing a science fiction story.
It did, at times, get a little too technical for my liking. That may just be me not being much of a science-genius but it's worth pointing out.
Most of the grammar, spelling etc. was flawless and the writing flowed pretty well. It could be better, of course, but that's to be expected when it's not yet a finished story and so will probably be fully edited at some point.
Chapter 6 was great. There wasn't much dialogue until that part which made it a little bit boring at times (only at times, overall it was anything but boring) but chapter 6 really pulled me in.
The blunder with the time machine is very interesting (I'll try to avoid spoilers). I was not expecting that at all.
All in all it's pretty fantastic and I look forward to reading more!
