"Do you want to interview the boys all together or separately?" the lady, Carla, said as she led us down a hallway with many doors on each side.
"Well," my best friend and fellow Burnham fan Sarah asked. Our friends and fellow Burnham fans Raina and Kira were also here. "What we had in mind was the each of us get one of the boys and interview them separately, if that's alright."
"That's fine, who wants who?" Carla asked with a smile.
"Kira with Forrest, Alyssa with Andre, Sarah with Alex and I with David," Raina said, then quickly added, "Please."
"Alrighty then, they're right this way." Carla opened a door and the boys, who were all on their phones, looked up. "Boys, these girls would like to interview you."
"Alright! Come on over, ladies," Forrest gestured to the couch opposite them.
"Actually, we're doing separately interviews, if that's okay," I told them.
"Yeah, sure," Forrest nodded.
"Okay well Forrest, go with Kira here," Carla gestured to Kira and each of us as she introduced us. "Andre, you go with Alyssa. Alex, you're with Sarah, and David, Raina."
We all dispersed into other rooms, except Andre and I stayed in there.
"Okay well, to start off," I began, "how did you and your brothers start being a band?"
"Well," Andre answered, "our family is really musical, except we didn't really have a singer, so we said Forrest could do it."
"And what made you want to play bass and piano?"
"Well I've always loved the sound of piano and Alex already played guitar so I decided to do bass."
"Who is your role model and why?"
"The Beatles, no doubt. I just love their music and they're style and everything."
"What is the most played song on your iPod?"
He sighed in thought. "I play so much music, I don't even know. But definitely The Beatles are the most played artist."
"Who's your favorite actor of all time?"
"Probably Jonny Depp, 'cause he can do almost anything!"
"Hmm... anything Italian, mostly spaghetti-type pastas."
"Most embarrassing moment?"
He thought for a moment. "Oh gosh, there's so many. Most of them were epic fails when trying to impress girls." He laughed and so did I.
"Would you date a fan?"
"I'll date whoever I like, fan, hater, or celebrity. Doesn't matter to me."
"What do you look for in a girl?"
He squinted at me. "Someone who is interested in me for more than the fact that I'm in a band." He raised his eyebrow at me.
"Are... are you asking if I am?" He nodded. "Well, if you are in real life the person you put out to be in interviews, ustreams, and anything else, then I love who you are."
He leaned forward, his chin resting on his hand resting on his knee, and squinted at me some more. "Alyssa, is it?" I nodded. "Well Alyssa, would you like to go out with me sometime? I'd like to get to know someone that's interested in me for more than my skills."
I blushed. "Really?" He smiled at me brightly and nodded. "I-I mean, sure, if you really want to."
"Great! How about I pick you up tomorrow at 5:00? What's your address?"
I gave him my address and we exchanged phone numbers before we parted ways.
He said to dress casual and warm, I thought as I looked in my closet for an outfit at 4:30 the next day. I had just taken a shower, put my curly blonde hair in a side ponytail with strands hanging down the other side, and applied some light makeup.
Aha! I found it. I pulled out my favorite pair of dark blue skinny jeans and my white, sparkly, fuzzy, off-the-shoulder sweater and slipped them on. Then I pulled on my Uggs and added a silver key necklace with matching earrings.
Andre was here and 5:00 sharp; I must say I was impressed. I opened the door for him and he smiled, kissing my hand before leading me to the car.
We rode in a comfortable silence and I recognized the building we were parking next to: it was an ice skating rink.
"Not the usual date," I noted.
"Do you want to do something else?" Andre asked.
"No!" I said quickly. "I mean, this is nice." I smiled and he grinned back at me.
"Good." He got out, hurried to my side to let me out, and grabbed my hand, leading me inside.
"I have to tell you something, Andre..." I said as I was tying my skates. He looked at me expectantly. "I've never ice skated before. I'm totally going to embarrass myself tonight." I pulled the laces tight at the same time Andre did and he stood up.
