Dreamland Reality

I walk in a daze
I live in a dream
I know that this world
Is not as it seems

We all hide behind
These ever-changing masks
Seldom can see
The truth as it lasts

When we look 'neath the surface
We see as things are
Hopes and wishes
Never gone far

But also we see the joy
That so many hide
For fear of some change
In the joyride called life

Some see the hope
Others search out despair
And still some can't see past
These masks that we wear

We tend to look for
The truths in life
Yet for some such as I
It's for dreams we strive

So we walk in a daze
We live in a dream
For we know that this world
Is not as it seems
