Into the Shadows

I sat down, and quickly set up a line to sign autographs. In about half an hour, we managed to get the line down to just a few people. Then, the line was gone. "Finally!" I said, "I thought that the line would never end!" A quiet voice came up behind me, "Excuse me, but I was wondering if I could get a picture..." I whirled around, and saw a pretty girl with brown hair in a ponytail. I gave a her a genuine smile and said, "Sure!" I motioned for the band, and we crowded around her, as she snapped a picture, and I said, "What's your name? I can't just call you Pretty Girl." She blushed, and said, "Sasha." I gave her one of my easy grins, and said, "Pretty name for a pretty girl." She blushed even harder, and said, "Thanks for the picture." "No problem!" Jay said. We sat back down, and waved as Sasha walked away.  I watched as she went back to her friends, and I started to think.  I wonder what her past is. I can easily see the pain in her eyes, as she left us, and when she came.

We started to eat, as quickly as possible. I knew the bell was going to ring soon, and the cafeteria would be closed, and we would be kicked out, left to the fan girls. I shuddered at the thought of being left in a closed room with them. I stood up abruptly, and looking at my band, said, "I'm going to go outside, after I throw my food away. Anyone want to come with me?" Jay, Alex, and Mike stood up and walked with me, and threw away the food, and as the bell rang, broke into a dead run, to get away from the girls. We ran towards the tree, that happened to be near the school. We simultaneously swung in some trees, that were somewhat easy to climb. I climbed until I was covered by the leaves, and moved the leaves away, and I saw the other boys perched in the trees, like me. I saw the fan girls thundering after us, and looking around, seemingly confused. Then, one of the fan girls spotted me and the other boys. I climbed down about halfway, and jumped down where the fan girls weren't. I saw the boys do something similar. We started to run, again. I saw Sasha. I quickly waved, and continued running to my locker. I glanced at my schedule, and saw we had music next. I mentally grinned, and motioned for the boys to come over.

"Guys, we have music next. Tomorrow, we bring the Mike's drums, Jay's guitar, and Alex's bass. Then, we practice Country Song." They nodded in agreement. "Wait, should we introduce us today, or tomorrow?" asked Alex. "Tomorrow." I said, "So we can give them more of a surprise." We then broke the huddle, and saw that the fan girls had finally caught up with us. We took off running again, and the bell rang, signaling we should get the hell out of there, and get to our classes.

We skidded into the classroom, surrounded by some basses, a guitar, a piano, flutes, and even a nice drum set. The teacher walked in, smiling brightly. The rest of the students came in with instruments, "Hello class!" she said, "Today we have four new students! There names are Chad, Mike, Jay, and Alex." We waved to the other students. "Anyway, I'm Miss. Woods. Today, we are starting a project. You will make band, with four or more students, compose a song, and preform it in two weeks. Any questions?" Everyone shook their heads no. "Great! Get started!" Miss. Wood said cheerfully.

Alex, Jay, and Mike sat down with me, and Mike said, "Should we skip the Country Song plan, and preform Stole My Heart instead?" (Stole My Heart is by One Direction...) I nodded. "Great idea Mike!" Stole My Heart was one of the songs we had composed, together, and it was one of our most popular songs. We all stood up, and walked over to the instruments that were evidently owned by the school, and anyone could use. We all practiced our instruments, and I counted out the beats, so they could stay together. The bell rang, and we went to our other classes, and then went home.
