As soon as we opened the the doors, the smell of foul, rotting flesh hit our noses. We wearily inspected the bodies one by one, taking mental notes on what was abnormal about their deaths and appearances. We only got to our 5th or 6th victim until my phone started to ring in my pocket, giving me a slight fright. I looked at the caller ID. "Gabby?" I muttered to myself. I pressed the answer button and pressed the phone to my ear. "Hi Gabby, what's up?" I said, putting on my happiest voice. I heard muffled voices in the background. "Hello? Gabby?" I said, sounding a bit anxious this time. "Where have you taken me?" said Gabby, her voice quiet and shaky. "Well, since this is the last place you're going to see, I think you have the right to know. We're in a crappy little building that your people call a church" Said an all too familiar sarcastic voice. "Son of a bitch!" I exclaimed, a little too loudly. Dean had noticed my worried expression and was paying attention now. "What's wrong?" he enquired. I put my phone on speaker. "What was that noise?" the voice demanded. "Nothing, what are you talking about?" Gabby replied, trying to sound brave. I heard quiet footsteps. "What a smart girl...calling our little friend for help are we?" the voice asked. There was a loud crunch followed by a piercing scream, which was cut short. The line went dead.

I looked up at Dean, who was wearing a grave expression on his face. I turned around and ran as fast as my legs would take me towards the door, jumping over a few casualties on the way. I pushed the doors open, not slowing my pace in doing so, or caring if I hit anyone in the process, and ran to the Impala. I jumped in the Impala, but the keys weren't in the ignition. "Shit shit shit!" I exclaimed, hitting the steering wheel with my palms. Someone knocked on the window. It was Dean. Holding the car-keys. "Move over, I'll drive." he said, opening the door. I moved over to the passenger seat, and Dean climbed in and turned the engine on. He put his foot on the gas and we sped along the road. "Where are we going?" he asked. "The church." I said, thinking of what could be happening to poor Gabby. Dean saw the fear in my eyes, and he reached across and held my hand in his, giving it a reassuring squeeze. I inter-twined my fingers with his. "She'll be ok." Dean assured me, looking at me with a small, but caring smile. I nodded slightly, trying to believe what he said to be true. I noticed a police car following us, but soon realized that it was just Sam and Everlyse inside.

After what seemed like a lifetime, we arrived at the church. Dean pulled up in the small, nearly nonexistent car-park. I practically shot out of the car and grabbed the first weapons that I could see in my bag. I got two daggers, one to fit in each boot, a bottle of holy water, and a handgun. I ran towards the entrance, with Dean not too far behind me, carrying a shotgun. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the familiar police car pull in next to the impala. I ignored it and continued to slowly open the large wooden door, with my gun at the ready, just incase something was waiting for me on the other side. I slowly walked warily into the church, prepared for anything. 'We'll go around back, check if anyone's there' said a gentle voice in my head. Eve. I gave a quick nod, not quite knowing if she'd see it or not, and continued to enter the building. It was at that moment that I heard faint sounds, almost like quiet whimpers. "Gabby?" I called, looking in every direction to try and find her. "Gabby!" I yelled again. Muffled calls and screams then came, from what sounded like one of the farthest rooms. We instantly sprinted and ran into the room, guns at the ready, that Gabby was in. She was hanging from the ceiling by her wrists, and had a gag in her mouth. For a short moment, I was frozen where I stood, an "Oh my god." escaping my lips.I started looking her over for injuries, and boy did she have a few. That bastard really pulled out all the stops with her. She was bruised all over, especially her torso. It was obvious that she had broken at least one of her ribs, when I touched the area she flinched and let out a low groan of pain. Her normally beautiful and shiny blonde hair was now matted, and soaked with her blood. She struggled to lift her head, and when she did, she could only hold it up for a couple of seconds at most, before letting it drop back down. Her face was dirty, and was smeared with dark red, as were her arms.

I untied the gag and removed it carefully from her mouth. "I knew you'd come for me." she said quietly, only managing a hoarse whisper. "Shhh don't try to speak. Just rest now, ok?" I told her softly. Her right leg was really messed up, which probably happened when she tried calling me. I cut the rope holding her up, and caught her over my shoulder when she fell. When I turned, I saw Dean spray-painting the finishing touches on a devils trap on the floor, before re-covering it with the long red carpet going down the isle. "Well that's two down..." he said. A sudden crash followed by a loud gunshot outside made us both turn our heads sharply, before looking at each other. "I'll go hold him off, get her out of here!" Dean instructed, before quickly running to go help his brother and Eve. I supported Gabby so she wouldn't fall, and we walked into the middle of the church, where I gently set her down on the floor. "He- he isn't human, Jo." she told me, fear seeping into her voice. I sighed deeply. I guess this is a pretty good time, if any, for her to find out. "I know." I said sadly. "What are you talking about?" she asked, her breathing quickening. "I know he's not human. Did he have black eyes, and could maybe move things without touching them?" I asked her, already knowing the answer. She slowly nodded. "H... how did you know?" I sighed again, and ran my fingers through my hair. "Well... this is kinda what I do." I brought out my silver handgun. Her eyes widened a little. "I'm not a cop. Me, Sam and Dean... we hunt and kill things that go bump in the night... things that your nightmares wouldn't even touch. Things like the guy who did this to you." I said, looking her in the eyes. She thought for a while, and flinched ever so slightly as the sounds of gunshots that rang through the air. "Is that why you left us?" she asked. "Yes." I replied simply, trying to find a place to hide her. It for too late to try and get her out of the church. A sudden realization dawned deep in Gabby's eyes. "Jo?" "Yea?" I replied, matching the softness in her voice. "What really happened to your parents?" My face became stoic, and I forced my feelings back. "Charlie happened. The same guy who tortured you... killed them. Slit their throats. He's what's called a demon, a son of a bitch made from pure evil. And I'm going to stop him, even if it's the last thing I do, I WILL stop him." I said harshly, my eyes dark with anger. She nodded a little, her eyes sparkling with sadness. "I'm so sorry." she whispered. "Don't be. You didn't do anything. Charlie's the one who's gonna be sorry, I'll see to it." I replied, a small but sinister small playing on my lips. But I quickly snapped out of it, hearing multiple gun shots fired. "We have to get you out of here. Now." I said hastily, frantically looking around for somewhere for her to hide. My eyes stopped at the front of the church. "Ok ok come on." I said, lifting her up in my arms before she could even reply. I walked as quickly as I could to the front of the church, and on the platform. Off to the side a bit, there was medium sized dark mahogany wood cabinet. I made my way over to it and opened it. It was in four compartments, in three sections. One largish compartment at the bottom, two small compartments in the middle section and another compartment at the top. I carefully slid Gabby into the compartment at the bottom. She just fit. "Alright, I want you to listen to me Gabby, ok? I want you to stay right here, and not make a sound. And whatever you hear, or whatever you think is happening, I want you to stay in there, and not come out until I come back for you." I told her slowly, trying not to scare her. She didn't respond, her eyes were wide with fear and her breathing was fast. "Hey, hey calm down ok? Breathe deeply. Just nod if you understand what I'm saying to you." I said, trying to sound as soothing as I could in this current situation. She looked at me, and slowly nodded a little. "Ok, good. Remember, don't come out of this closet." I said, before slowly closing the doors, leaving her in darkness. I quickly ran back to the centre, where we were just before, and raised my gun in the air, shooting multiple shots into the ceiling. "Hey you psycho bastard, you wanna play? Let's finish this once and for all!" I yelled fiercely. I heard a thud, quickly followed by a deep grunt, which I assumed was either Sam or Dean falling to the ground. BAM! The door leading to the back flew at least 20 feet across the room, smashing into some empty bleachers, leaving none other than Charlie standing tall in the doorway, showing off a mighty smile. "And so the games begin." he said mysteriously. And so the games begin...
