Prologue:

The leaves whipped in her face as she raced through the forest, away from the soldiers. She dared not look back in fear that they were closer than she thought. It has all fallen apart! She thought he was the only whom she could trust. When the time came to tell him, he had already found out and thought she had tricked him. She would never do such a thing but he could not be swayed. He always thought he was right which made him weak and thoughtless but she loved him. She could not bring herself to believe he would not forgive her but here she was running away from him. She stumbled, falling to the hard earth and letting out a cry. The hoof beats thudded closer until the soldiers were standing over her. A soldier yanked her up and held her in place. The man she loved and she had thought loved her rode over to her. He leaned down a breath away and stared into her eyes. His voice was barley a whisper when he said, "You and your kind will be hunted and killed before my eyes. I will feel no sorrow."
