About the Contest

Post a comment below in response to this question: “If you could choose any famous musician to be your parent, who would it be, and why?” We’ll accept entries from February 29th through March 31st, and you can only enter once. The winner will be chosen by author Caitlyn Duffy based on originality, creativity and humor, so even if another Wattpad user has the same celebrity dream mom as you do in his or her entry, use your imagination to make your entry stand out. Would you want to live in a mansion in a foreign country, surf every morning at dawn in Malibu, or chill in New York City and have a recording studio in your bedroom? Tell us what the perks of having a famous musician for a parent would mean for you.

Grand Prize

One grand prize contest winner will be chosen by YA author, Caitlyn Duffy. The winner will receive a $300 gift card or e-gift card for Coach, and an autographed paperback copy of The Rock Star’s Daughter.

Runners Up

The Rock Star’s Daughter Wattpad Contest

1) CONTEST DESCRIPTION AND PERIOD:

The Rock Star’s Daughter Wattpad Contest (the “Contest”) begins Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 at 12:01 AM EST and ends Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST (the "Contest Period"). The Contest and Prizing are sponsored by Lovestruck Literary, LLC and is hosted by Wattpad.com.  The Contest is one in which a participant posts a comment via their own membership account on the Wattpad.com platform and meets the following criteria for official entry:

1. The content of the comment must be the original work of the entrant
2. The entrant must be a verified member of the Wattpad.com community

3. The content of the comment must not contain profanity or defame any other member of the Wattpad.com community

Caitlyn Duffy (the “Author”) will select, based on the following criteria, one grand-prize winner and four runners-up from the eligible entries after the closing of the Contest Period:

2) ELIGIBILITY:

Contest open only to persons holding verified Wattpad.com accounts at the time of entry who do not reside in an area where such contests are prohibited by law. The sponsor of this contest is Lovestruck Literary, LLC (the “Sponsor”). Officers, directors, employees, contractors and agents of the Sponsor its parent companies (if any), subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising, promotional and judging agencies, persons engaged in the development, production or distribution of materials for this Contest (collectively, the “Promotion Parties”) and their immediate family members (parent, child, sibling, and spouse of each) of and/or persons living in the same household as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate. This Contest is void in all U.S. territories and possessions and where prohibited by law.

3) HOW TO ENTER:
No Purchase Necessary, and no entry fee, payment or proof-of-purchase necessary to participate in the Contest.

Entrants are required to log into their valid Wattpad.com account and post a comment on the official Contest web page in response to the question: “If you could choose a famous musician to be your parent, who would it be, and why?”

The name of the person entering the Contest must be the authorized account holder of the Wattpad account used to submit entry to the Contest; otherwise, the entry may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute over the identity of a winner, an entrant will be required to provide identification sufficient to show that he/she is the authorized account holder of the Wattpad.com account on the winning comment/entry. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify the Sponsor in writing if the entrant changes his or her Wattpad.com account, e-mail or postal address during the Contest Period.

Automated and/or repetitive electronic submissions (including but not limited to entries made using any script, macro, bot or Contest service) will be automatically disqualified and transmissions from these or related email or IP addresses may be blocked.
