she looked around herself
everywhere was torture
and torment
and pain
the children were burning
their screams like knives in her ears
and the smell like death and pain
the womens screams
as they were slowly tortured
knives running down their bodies
acid being poured on their faces
their purity being stripped away
and their hair being torn out
peice by peice
and strand by strand
the men were dying
tears running down their faces
flesh hanging off
from the whip marks on them
some of them hanging
some of them shot
some of them tortured
and some dying from starvation
dehydration
and exaustion
and she was on of the victims
everyday she was abused
her hair was being pulled out
her body was being cut open
and invaded
her strength was slowly dissapating
and the lack of food
made the pain much more excrusiating
could she make it one more day
here in this awful Hell
surrounded by despair
with no hope
no peace
nothing
if only there were some hope here
anywhere around her
this is what it was like
here
in Breendonk, Belgium
from 1940-1944
