The train ride home was long and yet too fast. I did not, repeat, did not want to go to the Dursley’s. Of course, before I went there, I stopped by the Malfoy’s to see father.
*At the Malfoy’s*
“Father!” I yelled, running through the house, only to smack into him as I rounded a corner.
“Slow down,” he smiled and I laughed.
“Oh my Merlin,” I whispered and then hugged him.
“We did it!” I yelled and then did a victory dance.
“Calm down, child,” he chuckled.
“This is totally awesome!” I said in awe and he shook his head.
“Any way, where’s Barty?” I asked and he grimaced.
“I plan on having Bellatrix bust him out after I bust her out,” he shrugged.
“Oh I get to meet Bella,” I said, wiggling my eyebrows and he sneered.
“Yes, and?”
“She’s your girl,” I said teasingly.
“I don’t know where you heard that,” he shook his head, and I saw someone round the corner.
“Mum!” I gasped, and she looked at me sheepishly. I looked at dad, who had an emotionless expression, but his eyes told the story; he still liked mum deep, deep, DEEP down. That’s just too cute. I looked back at mum and she seemed happy, but I wonder where Frank was.
“Where’s Frank?” I asked bluntly. Her smile dropped and she shifted. She bit her lip and sighed, opening her mouth and then closing it.
"Cant you just admit it? Obviously I didn’t get my abrupt honesty and bad girl vibe from you,” I snorted.
“Don’t speak to me like that young lady,” she said firmly and I snorted again.
“What are you, a muggle? I’m no ‘young lady’,” I snickered, and father did too.
“Behave, dear. However, Leah’s right, besides she’s higher up the ladder than you,” he shrugged and I stared at mum.
“Any way, basically you’re cheating on that weirdo Frank,” I said, wrinkling my nose.
“No!” mum gasped and I frowned.
“I was almost proud of you,” I teased.
“Why are you here then?” I asked and she sighed.
“I figured you’d want your family together…and I’ll try to be more badass,” she said.
