Mortal Enemy

It's been a week since my clash with Bryle Gregory. Pero kahit na isang linggo na ang lumipas ay hindi pa rin nawawala ang inis ko dito.

I don't know what it is about him pero mabigat ang loob ko sa kanya. Minsan nga pag nagkakasalubong ang tingin namin gusto ko syang sapakin. What's worse ay katabi ko pa sya sa halos lahat ng subjects. We're blockmates after all.

Pero syempre pinigilan ko sarili ko.

"Alright everyone, may I have your attention please?" Pukaw ng Professor sa aming atensyon.

Nagsiayos na ang mga kaklase ko ng upo at ako nama'y nakapangalumbabang nakikinig.

"Magkakaroon ng festival ang ating University. Tradition na ng paaralang ito na magconduct ng festival every start of school year. We've been doing this for the past 20 years." Inilibot nya ang tingin sa buong klase. "Katulad lamang ito ng normal na school festivals. May games, rides, booths etc. Tulad na rin ng nakagawian ng paaralang ito, pumipili ang Campus Administrators ng mag-oorganize for this event." She breathed.

One of my classmate raised her hand.
"Kailan po ang festival maam?"

"I was actually getting to that Ms. Rosales." Nginitian lamang nya ito at napakamot na lamang sa kanyang ulo ang aking kamag-aral. "Two weeks from now bago ganapin ang festival. And.. the administrators already chose the organizers."

Tumingin sya sa direksyon ko at ngumiti. I mentally groaned. Mukhang alam ko na ang sasabihin nya.

"Ms. Ayala and Mr. Gregory, you two will be the organizers of this event."

"What?!" O.A na bulalas ng katabi ko. I heard Jade snickered, while Lizzie and Raquel were just blinking at me. Nagpapalit-palit din ang tingin ng mga kaklase ko sa aming tatlo nia Gregory pati sa aking guro.

Tila ba hindi sila makapaniwala na kami ang pinili. Mukhang si Jade lang ang naaaliw sa sinabi ni maam. Everyone in this room knew that Gregory and I had a disagreement. Well, disagreement is too tame of a word for it. More like unspoken loath for each other.

"Why would they choose the two of us? Can't they find other student to organize that..that festival. I sure as hell don't agree with this Maam."

"Sorry Mr. Bryle but, it's the administrators decision not mine. Besides they said it was final." Sagot nito sa malumanay na boses.

"But I can't work with this... this creature!" Sabay muwestra nya sa akin, na tila nais nyang iparating na ako ang creature na sinasabi nya. I stayed silent and observing them eventhough my patience is wearing thin. Gusto ko man syang saktan dahil sa itinawag nya sa akin, pinigilan ko pa rin ang sarili ko.

"You can ask your classmates to help you out. I'm sure it will be alright." Pagpapatuloy ng aming professor na tila ba hindi nya naririnig ang pagcocomplain ng aking katabi.

Napatiim-bagang na lamang sya dahil alam nyang wala na syang magagawa.

"Do you still have questions, class? Okay, mukha namang wala kayong tanong, ididissmiss ko muna kayo dahil di tayo makakapaglesson dahil may faculty meeting kami." Nagpaalam na sya at umalis na.

I don't like this. I don't want to be an organizer. It will just tire me out, not to mention that I will waste alot of my time for that.

But I can't complain. Ella never complained. I always accept anything that was given to me.

Kahit na gustong-gusto kong bugbugin, lunurin sa imburnal tong lalakeng to, I didn't complain.

Bryle' Point of View

Nananadya yata tong mga taong to. Kung sino pa ang ayaw kong makasama, makita yun pa ang pinareha sakin.

I was so pissed. She didn't even complain. Maybe she wants to be my partner for this, well, who could blame her. Every girl is lucky just to be involve with me. But, I don't feel so lucky about it. I don't want to be involved or even get near with a creature like her.

This.is.not.cool! An abomination. She better make sure na hindi sya magpapabigat sa akin.
