Evangeline's P.O.V

I caught a glimpse at the hollywood couple, they looked like they just walked out of a Vogue photoshoot. Mason Grey's dark brown hair was all over the place, Sadie's blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders. Mason was what you called classically beautiful. His features were defined, and his jaw was strong. He was flawless. 

There was only one problem that kept me from being happy. Mason was my mate but I was too terrified to tell him. He already planned his life with his beautiful Sadie. 

Mason leaned down towards her ear, I couldn't hear what he was saying, but a couple seconds later, Sadie sent him a look, giggling. 

"Are you really going to watch them be all lovey dovey?" Lexus Wright asked, coming from behind me.

Lexus was a close friend of mine. She was as gorgeous as Sadie but she wasn't looking for a relationship at the moment. I removed my eyes from my mate and his girlfriend, glancing at Lexus. Her black hair was pulled his a messy bun and her face was clear of make-up. 

"What else am I suppose to do?" I asked, fustrated. "I need Mason in my life!"

"Jesus, girl! Why don't you just take your man?" Lexus exclaimed. 

I told her a billion times why I couldn't take Mason from Sadie. What would happen if he rejected me? I would be crushed. There was familiar pain in my heart. I frowned as I saw Bree Patterson strutting towards Lexi and I. We both despised her and it wasn't because she was the school's bitch. 

"Are you jealous from watching from the sidelines?" Bree pouted, "You're pathetic" 

Lexus was ready to pounce on them but I placed my arm between them. I didn't want a blood-bath first thing in the morning. Lexus was, furiously, glaring at Bree. For a second, I saw fear in Bree's eyes. 

"You're so lucky that Eva was here!" Lexus snarled. 

Bree's red lips titled in perfect smile. She opened her mouth to say something nasty but Mason interrupted. 

"Bree, are you picking on Angel?" Mason asked, harshly. His eyes was coldly glaring at her which made Bree back a few steps away from us. I glanced at Mason's bambi brown eyes that was veiled with long and healthy lashes. No wonder all the girls worshiped him like he was a god. 

"No, we were just talking about cheerleading!" Bree faked a smile, "I was thinking of trying out this year!"

"Bitch, you lying'" Lexus hissed, "Eva, hold my earrrings!"

Lexus started to undo her silver earrings while Mason continued to give Bree a death glare. Before Lexus could pounce on Bree, Bree had took the warning and walked away. Not before giving Mason a sexy smile. 

Mason's defined features softened as he smiled at me. I could feel my heart racing, and my body becoming abnormally warm. 

"I hate that girl" Mason stated, "How are you doing, Angel?" 

"Who doesn't?" I laughed. "Good. How's the hollywood couple?"

Mason's eyes was filled with so much love and compassion. He must really love Sadie. 

Emotions came to me like a tornado.

Hurt, regret, love and pain. 

"Same old" Mason said with his heart-throbbing grin. "Are you going to Laura's party? Sadie can't come"

"What a big suprise!" Lexus mumbled under her breath. She flicked her sleek hair, and rolled her gorgeous eyes. I swear, there was something wrong with that girl.

"You can count on me" I teased, "But this time it's my turn to drive!"

Lexus and Mason looked at me with horrified faces. The last time I drove wasn't pleasant, I nearly drove everyone off a cliff. 

"No, last time you drived you nearly got us killed!" Mason yelled, "I am not fucking dying!" 

"Damn girl, hell no!" Lexus screamed, "I have to agree with pretty boy!" 

"Fine, you all suck!" I pouted. 

And that's the last thing I remembered.

My brain was pounding against my skull. How much did I drink? My eyes blinked open and notice the walls were blue. My walls weren't blue but Mason's wall was blue. The blanket felt cool against my bare skin.
