Not much to say today! Lol, lucky you ;P

I think this chapter is really long, as all of my recent chaps have been for some reason..................oh well, you don't like it, that's just too bad! I enjoy writing and reading really long chapters ;)

Naruto’s POV

I sit up in bed, stretching my arms up above my head, as warm sunlight pours through the window on my right.

Hmmmmm, I wonder how long I’ve been asleep for.

The last thing I remember is being out in a field, practising the Jutsu I’d bet with Grandma Tsunade I could master in three days.

I look down at my hands, seeing that the burn marks from the concentrated chakra of my new Jutsu are gone.

I clench and unclench my hands cautiously, relieved that they are no longer in pain.

Looking up, I see Shizune lying on the floor.

With an annoyed sigh, I throw back the covers and jump down to the floor.

I crouch down next to her sleeping figure, ignoring the small pig watching me from the windowsill.

“Hey” I grunt, poking Shizune’s shoulder. “Hey, wake up!”

I see her eyes slowly fluttering open, before she focuses them on me.

“Where the hell am I?” I ask her with a pout.

“Naruto?......” she murmurs, before her eyes shoot wide open. She sits up hurriedly, glancing around the room.

“Naruto!” Shizune cries again. “What time is it?! Wait, what day is it?! Wh-what day?! What time?!”

“It’s Monday morning” I say slowly, as if she’s really stupid. Well seriously, how do you fall asleep and then wake up not remembering what day it is? Even I don’t do that…..

“Why? What’s wrong?” I ask Shizune, as she blinks in surprise.

“Oh, it’s just amazing” she mutters, before looking at me. “Are you alright? I mean, you should’ve been out of it for at least two whole days!”

“Heh!” I scoff with a smirk. “I’m fine! No matter how beat up I get, if I get a good night’s sleep, I’m right back at the top of my game!”

“Besides!” I continue smugly. “I’ve gotta find that old witch Tsunade! Today’s the day I totally scrub that smug smirk off her face!”

“So, you’ve mastered the Jutsu then?” Shizune asks, making me sweat drop.

“Weeeeeell….no, not completely” I admit. “But I can just wing it! It’s close enough, so I’ll be fine!”

Shizune laughs, before flinching and grabbing her stomach.

I wonder what’s wrong with her…..

Suddenly, the pig on the windowsill lets out a squeal of some sort.

“What is it Tonton?” Shizune asks, scrambling to her feet.

Tonton points out the window, waving his arm frantically.

“Oink oink oink!” he cries, looking slightly panicked.

Suddenly, something flies through the window, making us all yell in fright.

“Naruto!” a familiar voice calls, making me look up.

My eyes widen, as Ashley rises from a crouched position, visible eye looking troubled.

“Ashley…..” I say quietly, gritting my teeth and dropping my gaze to the floor.

I don’t know why she’s here, but I can’t bring myself to look in her eyes. I don’t deserve to, after the crap I said to her a few days ago.

I only said it out of frustration, but I could tell it really hurt her. What kind of friend am I?

“Naruto” she says again, making me look up at her reluctantly.

My eyes begin tearing up against my will.

“Ashley, I’m sorry!” I exclaim, clenching my fists. Her eyes widen. “I didn’t mean that stuff I said the other day! I was just mad and confused and frustrated! And I’m sorry! I’m so, so sor-”

I’m cut off, as she launches herself forwards, wrapping her arms around me and burying her face in my chest.

I blink in surprise, my face slowly heating up. Well, I wasn’t expecting that. A punch maybe, but not a hug!

“It’s okay Naruto” Ashley murmurs. “I know you didn’t mean it. I’m sorry too….”

A tiny smile appears on my face, as I hug her back, so happy that she’s not mad at me anymore. It’s really been bothering me these past few days.
