Innocence
They say, "No tolerance for innocence,"
No desire for naïve
They eat at her flushed flesh like maggots,
consume her mind with their wicked whispers.
Then, innocence turns to hatred and fear
Innocence gone, but they still come near
In the eyes, where a clear oceanic blue once brewed
has now become the Niagara Falls
Tears telling torrid truths
She couldn't face-
Like the glowering image in the mirror
Her reflection was clearer
Pretty Girls rock, stare at her and titter
Of human ignorance she is almost in despair,
For racism is around her everywhere
But like they say sheer ignorance is bliss
Just like Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss
She thought,
"I don't want to repeat my innocence.
I just want the pleasure of losing it again
because, all things truly start from that innocence."
