Sorry guys I haven't been writing very much lately xD Whatever I write either sucks or sounds forced lately, and I just couldn't bring myself to torture you by posting it xD This one sucks too but it was better than the others and I just felt the need to post something :P

Writer's Block Poem

Near silent nights in an empty cafe,

Papers strewn about covered in ineligible scrawls.

The sweet aroma of coffee (Espresso? Latte?)

Filling the air, soaking into the walls.

Rain taps on the window, rhythm steady,

Waiting for me, even the misty fog holds its breath.

Cool air wafts through the slightly open doorway.

But I ignore it and focus, on I press.

The pencil in my hand never stops shrinking,

Yet the marked words on my page are slim to none.

As I think, I carefully sip the coffee I'm drinking,

Sitting and waiting for inspiration to come.

Time keeps rolling on, and much too swiftly.

Evening turns to midnight then flows into daybreak,

Cup and imagination empty, filled with resignation.

But I get up and sigh, another day wasted.

A/N:

I've never actually sat in a 24 hour cafe that long and if I did, it would be my laptop but this is how the scene turned out in my head xD
