"Welcome...." Nasty Snape snarled as he stood behind Dumblegay's old podium. "To another exiting year at Hogwarts. I hope you all feel very welcome here. But there are some new rules that need to be put into place....."
Snarling he stepped away from the podium and got closer to the students. "Rule number one...Do not disrespect my authority." He glanced at two Ravenclaw's who were talking quietly and ignoring him. "AVADA KADVRA!!!!!!!!!!!" he shouted and they both stumbled down to the ground dead.
He smirked as the body's were dragged away and out of the Great Hall. "Rule Number two. Slytherin always wins..." He smiled to the Slytherin's. "1000000000000000 points to Slytherin right now actually." He said smirking widely. At that moment a small First year Hufflepuff groaned. Nasty Snape's cold black eyes darted to him and screamed,
"ARE YOU DISRESPECTING MY AUTHORITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????" The Hufflepuff boy shook his head and stred straight down at the cold wooden table.
"And last..." Nasty Snape smirked, stroking his bony fingers through the black of his cloak, "Is the torture room." After he said this, a wave of mummers of confusion swept across the Great Hall.
"Ah yes students...." Nasty Snape smiled. "If you break any of those rules you will be sent to the Torture Room.....And dear children you do not want to end up there. That room is filled with the worst punishments......" he smirked and clapped his hands. "You may eat..."
Marie stared at her standard Hogwarts food. Voldywart had stated that each magical student is only allowed to have one small portion of food per meal. That's all. No dessert, no extra, nothing. Crabbe and Goyle had a look of pure misery on there faces.
Marie didn't feel like eating... Insted she took Draco's and and they both left the Great Hall.
" I don't want to be here Draco....." Marie sighed kicking the pebbles that lingered on the stairs on the way down to the Slytherin common room. Draco sighed and took her hand.
"I promise it will get better." He said smirked and spining her around.
Marie sighed and pushed forward, toward the door inside the common room. She sighed and glanced down at the ground preparing to say the new password.
"Potter and the Mudblood Beauty are going down...." She said softly as the door swung open. She entered to see the common room the same way as it had been last year. Why had everything else in the entire world changed but not this room? It frustrated her...
As if reading Marie's thoughts Draco took her hand. "Look, I know everything in the world feels like its going down hill..."
Marie sighed deeply, "That's an understatement."
Draco smiled and led her to a dark colored table.
Marie glanced at him, her green eyes wide in confusion. "What...are you doing?" Draco laughed and sat down.
"I'm surprised you don't remember this table. Don't you remember first year? This is where I asked you out." The thought of first year made Marie glance down at the table. Everything was so simple then. No fights, no losses....no fear for the future...
This made Marie burst into tears. Draco scooted his chair around next to her.
"Shhh....Don't cry.... This momeant wasn't meant to make you cry." He cooed softly pulling her chin up for her to face him.
Marie stared at him for a moment. " Were just sitting in the common room? What kind of moment are you talking about?" She said softly, wiping the tears from her cheeks.
Draco laughed and got down from his chair, bending on one knee.
"In life....There arn't many things to hold on to that stay the same. There arn't many things to keep, or hold onto. Marie....you've always been there. I don't want to lose that....." Draco sighed and pulled a small black box from his pocket. He opened it, reveling a ring, with dark green gems scattered around the base and a beautiful diamond in the center.
"Will you....Marry me?"
