Hey guys!! I've had an overwhelmingly good response to this story! Thank you so much! So, there's the first chapter- as promised.
I'm dedicating this part to Dee_2770 who has written another brilliant story that I ADORE called The Assassin Boys! Check it out if you haven't already! It's really funny and awesome and yeah!
PS: The playlist song for this chapter is Fascination Street by The Cure, a quirky band from the eighties/ninties. I love them a lot and I thought the lyrics related pretty well to this chapter (sort of).
PPS: Pick on the side is of Sam Way AKA Jay <3 SO HOT!
So pull on your hair
Pull on your pout
Cut the conversation
Just open your mouth
Pull on your face
Pull on your feet
And let's hit opening time
Down on Fascination Street – Fascination Street, The Cure
“OH SHELL, OH SEA!” JAY cooed loudly in front of the whole maths class. “How beautiful her face, how lovely her laugh, how-”
“MR FROST! GET DOWN FROM THERE RIGHT NOW!” the teacher bellowed. Jay grudgingly jumped down from on top of his table and faced an angry Mr Lewis. “When I asked for an answer to the problem, I DID NOT want you to start reciting a personal monologue! What's wrong with you, boy?”
“I'm in love, sir!” Jay replied proudly and Chelsea felt her face burn even more. Even though no one else in their advanced maths class knew that Jay was talking about her every time he did one of his quirky pranks the past two weeks, it didn't make it any less embarrassing.
“Yes, son, we know,” Mr Lewis sighed before turning back to the board. “Miss O'Hara, please answer the question Mr Frost was given- minus the speech.”
After a close inspection of the question, Chelsea replied with a simple: “8.275.”
“Well done, Miss O'Hara, that is correct.” The bell sounded before the teacher could get anything else in. “Class dismissed.”
Chelsea jumped up and slung her bag over her shoulder. Advanced maths was her last class before lunch, and she was eager to get out of the school building. She, and all of her friends, went to a tiny private school in the corner of New York City. It was so prestigious that you had to either be crazy smart- like Chelsea- or crazy rich- like Jay- to get in. They even had uniforms designed by Gucci and full length wardrobes for their lockers. It was a pretty amazing school, and Chelsea was crazy grateful that she got a full scholarship.
“Hey! Chelsea! Wait up!” a familiar voice called from behind her. Chelsea instantly sped up and weaved in between the crowd. Jay had been even more flamboyant with his outbursts this week- one even involved her last name, though everyone thought he was talking about Scarlett O'Hara or something- but this was the first time he had approached her directly.
“CHELSEA!” He had started screaming by now, his voice breaking mid-word. Most people didn't acknowledge him, especially since he was known for being a bit weird, but more and more were stopping to watch. On a last-ditch attempt to avoid him, Chelsea slipped into the janitor’s closet. Sadly he saw her do it.
“Good afternoon, my love,” he sang as he squeezed in beside her. “I see you wanted to talk in a more private space.”
“Oh definitely,” Chelsea replied sarcastically. “I spent all my concentration trying to loose your ass in the crowd so we could talk in the place where most students have sex. Because I'm that easy. Totally.”
“I knew it!” Jay cried excitedly. She stared at him. His face fell. “You were being sarcastic, weren't you?”
“You're doing it again!”
“Am I? Wow. I had no idea.”
“What is wrong with you? Do you have a 'sarcastic' setting or something?” he demanded, looking annoyed. “This is ridiculous!”
“I know. Yellow totally makes you look fat. What is the school thinking?” She smirked as Jay looked down at his shirt in horror.
“Are you being sarcastic again?”
“No.” He looked at her thoughtfully for a second.
