You were my best mate

My only one, but the best

We were little chicks,

While the tunnels was our nest

We drew on the walls

And read on the floor

And ran in the street

And read some more

I taught you how to read

You taught to me how to shove

I taught you how to break into houses

You taught me how to love

Yes, we were four

And I only knew you for a while

8 months were they?

We were too juvenile

I treasure your memories

There all I have left of you

Those golden moments we shared

I wish you could do that too

It's all my fault

I hope you can forgive me

But I don't get a second chance

Cuz your gone now you see

It started by you sneaking out

To meet up at mine

Your aunts boyfriend spotted you

And turned into Frankenstein

I told them it was him

And everyone knew

How can the police be so stupid?

They didn't believe what was true

We have to find evidence

The ugly man would growl

I looked at him in disbelief

As if I just saw a tree howl

Evidence my butt! I screamed

He was demented for sure

And when they missed all the proof

It shocked me to my core

You went into a coma

For countless days asleep

Your body needed to... 'Heal'

So you couldn't move a peep

I waited in the tunnels for you

As I watched the sand congeal

But you didn't make it

Your body didn't heal

And all that,

Because I told you to come to mine

But all it has done

Was mess with your lifeline

You were too young As they would say

You were Too young to die

Well I can point something out

They didn't lie

I wouldn't have mourned your death

Because your life was so happy and true

Maybe I would have done that

If they had even buried you.
