Six months later~
"Ryder, if you don't put me down I will beat you to death!" I screamed and Ryder laughed, jogging with me over his shoulder. He spun around making me dizzy and scream even more.
He finally put me down after running for a few more minutes. We landed on soft grass as we fell, tired and breathless from our laughing.
Ryder grabbed my hand and rubbed circles on the back of it. I rolled over on my side and studied his beautiful face, taking in every detail.
"We have to pack soon." Ryder murmured and I sighed, nodding.
In just a couple more days, we'll be going off to college. Ryder wrapped his arms around my waist and brought me close, my head falling onto his chest.
"Have you seen Zeke?" I asked and I felt Ryder's chest rumble as he began to laugh.
"Yeah, him and Chad were going at it in your room." I cringed at his words and Ryder laughed more.
"So, what are we going to do now?" I questioned and Ryder stood up, taking me with him.
"You'll see." Ryder answered and dragged me along. We walked out of the park and were heading in the opposite direction.
"One hint?" I asked and Ryder put on a thoughtful face.
"We're going to my house." He answered and smiled at my whining.
We finally made it to Ryder's house after all my whining and trying to do something different. Once we got inside, I saw that the inside of the house was lit by a bunch of candles.
"What?" I turned around to see Ryder already staring at me. He put his finger to my lips to quiet the other words that were going to come out of my mouth. He grabbed my hands and pulled me into his living room.
A table was in the middle and it was surrounded by flowers and candles. Two covered plates sat on the table with a pitcher of water on the side.
Ryder let go of my hands and pulled out a chair from the table, gesturing for me to sit down. I slowly walked to the table and sat down as he gently pushed the chair in.
Ryder quickly rushed over to his side of the table and sat down. He uncovered the plates and smiled, proud of his good work.
"Did you cook all of this?" I asked and he nodded. his smile stretching wider.
I took my fork and took a little of the pasta that was on the plate, the taste exploded in my mouth and I moaned.
"So good." I sighed after I swallowed and Ryder let out a sigh of relief.
"So... why are you doing all this?" I questioned and Ryder blushed.
"Because, I wanted to give you something." Ryder answered and took something out of his pocket.
He raised his hands and showed me a small blue box. My eyes widened as he came over to me.
"Kelly, I love you and I want you to have this." He opened the box and a golden ring was inside. "I want you to remember that I will always love you and I want you to know that even though we're still going to the same college, times might get tough. So just remember that I'm here with you." He finished and slipped the ring on my ring finger.
I wiped at the tears that were coming down and jumped him into a hug. My arms squeezed at him as I tried to get as close to him as possible.
"I love you, too." I whispered into his neck and he leaned back, kissing my forehead.
