My Shot At Happiness

Chapter 1

My name is Cole and my life is a mess. I'm a werewolf, alpha of my pack. My mate left me almost a year ago and I saw her two months ago and she was with her famous boyfriend Chad Montgomery. I'm hopelessly in love with her and the thing is she's not mine any more. Her name is Raine. She's beautiful. She has blonde hair that comes a little past her shoulders. She's just gorgeous and I rejected her kind of. Here's what happened.

*Flashback*

It was my 18 birthday and I was so excited to find my mate. I had walked into the pack house and as saying hi to everyone. I had been walking to my friend Matthew when him and his sister started picking on his youngest sister, Raine. I growled when her sister Brittany was messing with her. I looked at Raine and my wolf screamed 'mate' I made my way to her and Matthew tripped her and I immediately caught her. I felt shocks of what felt like electricity run through my whole body and I looked at the gorgeous girl in my arms and got lost in her beautiful brown eyes.]

I put her to her feetand held her hands in mine as I continued to stare into hers and she stared back into mine. I just wanted to kiss her so badly. She shook her head slightly and pulled away. I frowned and she sighed loudly and I just watched her. maybe she realised we were mates, that thought made me smile. she muttered "my bad" her voice was enough to drive me and my wolf crazy. she just went around me and walked out the room. my jaw dropped. did that just happen? she's mine! where the hell is she going? she didn't want me?!

"Cole baby" Tiffany said coming over to me and pulled me into a kiss. I started issinh back on instinct then pulled away and said "don't touch me"

"but ba-" she started and I pushed her off me. she growled and I said "we're done, tht girl is the only one I want" she ran out the house and I heard her car start followed by another a minute or two later.

"Cole come on we got school birthday boy" Matthew said and I nodded numbly. mate! my mate! i want my mate! I followed him out and took a ride with him.

We got to the school and I saw Raine's car. I was running kind of late, when the first bell rang I went looking for Raine who would be on her way to her first class. I found her andp pulled her into a dark empty classroom. Shocks were going through me and I wanted to claim her but then I was thinking about what Matthew was saying to me on the ride here. My maate had to be someone people liked and she had to be strong since she had to be my alpha female and Raine just has the worst luck because that is so not her. But i want her...

I was holding her in my arms and shut the door. I took in her scent and i knew she did the same to me. I pulled away to look in her beautiful eyes again.

"can we talk?" I asked not like i was going to take no for an answer. she was my mate and i was her apha well soon to be and she has to respect me.

"about what?" she asked and I always thought that the girl was so smart, maybe book smart but who cares im not the best when it comes to school.

"this" I said nodding to the hand i had on her amr thats where the shocks were come from.

"what?" she asked, do i have to spell it out for her? she was making me mad and it wasnt hard fror her since in the past i couldnt stsand her but everything is so different now, well atleast for me. she was so perfect.

"you, me" i said pointing from me to her.

"well i dont care what your doing, im going to class" she said and i clentched my teeth. she didnt want me!

"no you idiot i mean your my mate" i said letting my anger get the best of me. I regretted it but i coldnt control it, my wolf just wanted to claim her right now and finish the mating process but first i needed to start.

"oh let me guess this isnt a fairy tale" she said in a sarcastic voice and i held back a growl. the girl was irritating me.

"so you dont want me?" i asked feeling even angrier then before.

"huh?" she asked and tilted her head slighty to the side. it was just so cute and the next thing you know my lips were on hers. what? i couldnt resist her plump ink lips were just asking to be kissed and who better to do the job?

She wasn't kissing back and it was blowing my mind. She doesn't want me, she obviously hates me. I thought we'd be pass that and all the bad things I did to her. I pulled away and growled. "Kiss me" I said before she could protest I smashed my lips on hers. I started sucking on her bottom lip and she moaned then I groaned. That was the sexiest sound in the world! I plunged my tongue in her mouth and it felt so heavenly to explore her mouth. She tasted kind of minty, and like bubble gum. I love it though. I controlled the whole kiss and picked her up by her thighs. She wrapped her legs around my waist and I pushed her up against a wall. My hands went to her butt and she was running her fingers through my hair and I groaned as she tugged on it. This was killing I wanted more. I pulled away and asked "do you want me?"
