Possibilities (A Jasper Hale Love Story)

"And...perfect!" Mr. Goodge applauded and praised from behind an old table. A short girl danced off the stage. Christy applauded along with the other students. "Okay, we'll take five then I want... Christy Lewis and Jasper Hale."

The students stood up and headed for the bathrooms. Groups of girls walked inside as guys just leaned against the wall and talked about them. Christy walked over to the water fountain and as she was drinking, she heard someone come up behind her.

"Hello." He said in a sweet tone as Christy turned to him. It was the guy from the hall last week.

"Hey." She felt awkward around him. Not only has he seen one of her bad, embarrassed sides, but he was also... different. He was handsome and attractive. He had no flaws and compared to him, Christy felt like a slug.

"I just wanted to introduce myself. Last time.... well, yeah. I'm Jasper Hale." He held out his hand and as Christy touched it, a feeling of a cold electrical shock ran through her. He instantly pulled back and they just stood there for a while.

"I'm Christy, but I bet you knew that." She said awkwardly. He chuckled as they started for the auditorium.

"So, Christy, are you ready to audition? No nerves, right?" He seemed so focused and calm. Christy felt so nervous, she was afraid she was gonna puke.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She lied.

They sat down with the group that started back and Christy re-read over her lines once again. After she read two pages, the room got silent and she looked up to see Mr. Goodge standing above them on stage.

"Okay, I need Mr. Hale and Miss Lewis up here but before you do come up, everyone, stand up." The group stood up and stared at him like he was an idiot. "Okay, now breathe in," he took a deep breath, "breathe out." He breathed out. "Everyone! Breathe in and out five times. Don't rush, just relax." He breathed in and out along with the group. Some students just looked at each other stupidly, while others listened and breathed with him.

"Okay, now that we're all relaxed, let's start up again. Jasper and Christy, come on up." Christy took a look at all the faces that were on her as she got up onto the stage. Her hands began to feel shaky and sweaty. She saw Jasper, who must have noticed her nerves. He smiled kindly to her then turned to the group.

"Okay, start reading from page 67. Ready, set, action!"

Christy took a deep breath and felt strangely calm and at peace. "If only I had..." She read the lines with Jasper and felt good when they finished. The audience clapped and cheered louder than they had for anyone else. Mr. Goodge even looked pleased.

"Very nice you two. You see, that's what you need. You need to keep strong and let your emotions come out. Very good job, both of you!" He stood up and announced to the group. Christy smiled in happiness as she followed Jasper back to their seats. They watched the other auditions and after the last couple, Mr. Goodge stood up.

"Okay, I'll have everything posted tonight. Go to my website and check at seven. Good job everyone!" He finished as everyone got up and started to gather their things.

"Great job." Jasper said to Christy. She smiled and blushed as he helped her gather her stuff.

"Thanks, you too. I didn't know you were an actor."

"I like to try new things, you know?" He smiled at her and showed off his perfect, white teethe. They were kind of pointy, but they were as flawless as he was.

"Well, my mom's probably here. I should get going." Christy started for the doors.

"See you tomorrow." He called after she walked out.

"So, what kind of girl are you looking for?" Rosalie asked Jasper after he got home from auditions.

"Well, I want her to be friendly, kind, nice. Maybe loyal?"

"Maybe you should go out with Leah, at least shes half dog." Emmett joked as he came in. Rosalie laughed annoyingly at them.

"Ha ha, your so funny." The couple laughed at him.

"Well, anyways, how did it go?" Rosalie sat down on the table.

"Good, and you know what?" Emmett and Rosalie looked at him strangely.

"What?! You brought it up, so talk." Rosalie commanded. Jasper threw up his hands in defeat.

"I think I did good. Okay?" The clock struck 7:15 and Jasper hurried to the laptop. "Okay, let's see..." He read the names on the page.

"How did it go?" Edward came in and looked at the screen next to him.

"Your looking at the lead... I'm playing the beast in Beauty and the Beast."
