The alarm woke me up and I was still tired. I decided to get up anyway, today would be a long day of classes.

I had an hour to get ready so I took my sweet time. Brushed my hair, ate breakfast, got my robes on, and got all my books together. I then had an extra 15 minutes to spare. I didn't know what to do. I could spend time with Ty but he might still need time to calm down. I thought.

I sighed. No one else was ready and I didn't want to disturb them and make them late. I decided just to walk slowly to my first class.

The long corridors were very familiar. In a way, Hogwarts was my second home. But then again, it was for many wizards and witches. Like the ones who came from abusive families, or ones that didn't care whether you came home or not.

I looked at my schedule to make sure I was going to the right room.

1ST - Defence Against the Dark Arts

I went down some other halls and finally got to the class. I wasn't the first one iin the room at all. There were some Gryffindors and one other Slytherin, Molly. SHe happily gestured for me to sit by her so I did.

"Hi." I whispered.

"Hey." She replied.

I looked at the board to see what we were going to do today but the board was blank.

"Molly?" I asked.

"Yeah?"

"Why isn't anything written on the board?" I said pointing wiht my quill.

She looked and squinted. "I don't know." She stated. "Maybe he forgot."

I rolled my eyes. "No offense Moll, but, Professor Snuffdrought doesn't forget. At least not easily."

Molly shurged. "I said I didn't know."

As we waited, more Gryffindors and Slytherins filed into the class. Professor Snuffdrought got up from his desk and started to write o the board.

Presence Quiz.

Everybody either sighed or ughed. I don't know why. All you had to do was hold up the things that he said and he write down the people who didn't have their things.

"Text book." He grumbled. Text books went up. He wrote down a few Slytherin boys that didn't care about their grades.

"Quill." Quills went up. No names written.

"Ink w-" He was interrupted by flapping wings. We all lokked back too see what it was.

A great gray owl came and landed on Professor Snuffdrought's desk. He went over and grabbed the note atached to it. The owl then flew back to where it came from. He read the note over and then said. "Draevyn Malfoy, you are to go to Headmaster Macgonagal's office immediately."

"OOOO!" Erupted from the students around me. I rolled my eyes and gathered my things and I walked out the door.

While walking towards Macgonagal's office, I couldn't help but wonder why. I hadn't done anything wrong, at least not that I knew of.

I got to the hippogriff statue and I stepped onto the base. The creature began to move in a semi-circle. It stopped with a jerk and I steeped off into Headmaster Macgonagal's office. The walls were stuffed with books and papers filled the mahogany desk.

"Mrs. Macgonagal?'' I didn't see her anywhere.

I waited for an answer. "I'm behind the papers dear." She said softly.

I went to the side of the desk until I could see her. "You wanted to see me?" I asked.

She looked up from the papers. "Yes I did." She replied. "All night, that confounding Sorting Hat has been screaming, It wasn't until this morning that it told me why." She paused.

"And what is the reason?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

She sighed. "It was screaming the same four words over and and over again. 'I made a mistake.' In all my years its never happened. You were put in the wrong house."

My eyes widened, "WHAT! HOW CAN THAT HAPPEN!" I screamed.

"Lower your voice." She hushed me. "I don't know how but it has. We must sort you again."

Mrs. Macgonagal got out a stool and the Sorting Hat. I sat down and I felt childish.

She put the hat on my head and it came to life. "Ah yes. The one that I made a mistake with. Terribly sorry for that but, know we can settle this little problem. We now know that your not in Slytherin. So the question is, which of the other three houses are you supposed to be in? Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw. Hmmm. Yes, yes, yes. I declare you..... GRYFFINDOR!"

Mrs. Macgonagal got pairs of robes out of a wardrobe in the back of the office. "I'll get all your assignments for you. You just worry about getting your things out of Slytherin and into Gryffindor quarters. The fat lady will let you in."

Relunctantly, I went to my old room and got all of my things packed in the trunk and hauled it to Gryffindor quarters. The fat lady let me in and I went to my assigned room. It was the same as the one in Slytherin, only the walls were red and gold.

Everyone else was at classes so I wasn't bombarded with questions. I looked at the clock and realized that four hours had gone by. I changed my robes to Gryffindor and went to the gathering hall.
