Chapter Eleven

I stared ahead at the chalk board. Apparently the four weeks I was out I had detention for me and James little food fight. He had detention too but he already attended his. So I'm stuck in her with Mrs-I don't even know her name but anyways she's the most strictest teacher ever.

There so many rules. I can't even list them all and some rule are just unreasonable, like rule number five, don't look at her at all. So I've been staring at her for the past hour now. I know that she knows I'm looking at her because she keeps fidgeting in her seat.

"Can you stop it now!?" She sneered as she whirled around in her seat to look at me. I just gave her a smirk and shrugged.

"What am I doing?" I asked, playing dumb.

"Your staring at me!" She snapped and I just chuckled.

"It's hard not to stare when you have that big zit on your forehead." I said, lying through my teeth.

"What I have a zit?" She asked as she began feeling around her face.

"Yeah and I thought you stop getting zit's around the age thirty." I said seriously.

"I'm only thirty!" She screeched as she ran out the room. I would've felt bad but she had it coming with all those rules she made.

I got out of my seat and grabbed my bag, If she was leaving early so was I. I walked to the door but stopped short when a certain scent hit my nose. He's back and this time he's not gonna get away. I quickly began to follow his scent. I turned a corner and was suddenly pulled into a room.

The lights were flicked on and I was standing face to face with.........Jace? Why would he be here? I thought everyone went home already. I turned to the door and tried to open it, the key word being tried. It's locked from the outside.

 "What the hell Jace!?!" I yelled after I gave up trying to open the door.

 "What?" He asked as he leaned against the wall.

 "Why did you pull me in here?" I asked angrily, I was trying to calm down.

 "I know what you were going to do and I'm not going to let you." He said seriously.

 "You don't have no say over anything, I'm your alpha." I said as I glared at him.

 "That's not what I meant and you know it." He said as he looked me straight in the eyes.

 "I know." I sighed, it's no point in arguing.

 "Good." He said as he slid down the wall so he was sitting down.

 "So you think we can go get him together?" I asked as I sat down across from him.

 "Nope, I'm not taking any chances of you getting hurt." He said, dead serious.

 "So you rather be known as the one that let the Hybrid go than me get hurt?" I asked.

 "I would." He said with a nod of his head.

 "Why?" I asked as I watched him closely.

 "Reasons." He said shortly. I shouldn't expect to get much of a response from him.

 "Reasons?" I urged.

 "Well I like you." He said easily, I nearly choked on my spit.

 "What?" I asked stupidly.

 "I know your with Nathan and that I don't have a chance but I just wanted you to know." He said with a small smile.

"I'm sorry." I said sadly, his mates dead and the one person he likes is taken.

"It's alright." He said but I could tell he was sad too. "Really." He urged.

"You'll find someone special one day." I said as I gently put my hand on top of his.

"Maybe." He said as he got this faraway look.

I didn't say anything after that and neither did he. I was to busy processing this new information. Jace liked me and I never knew. Am I really that oblivious? I never knew Nathan or Jace liked me. I don't know when but I fell asleep.

 "Ashley." I heard someone whisper. I looked around but I couldn't see anything.

"Yes?" I called out in the darkness.

"He's gonna get you." The voice said from somewhere behind me and I whipped around trying to find the source of the voice.

"Who?" I asked as I held my arms out, reaching out to the source of the voice.

"Be careful." It said, totally ignoring my question.

"Keep them safe Ash." It said but it sounded closer now.

"Keep who safe?" I asked.

"You'll find out." It said and like that it was gone.

"Ashley!" Someone yelled and I shot up and hit my head on the wall in the process.
