No need for the ‘Mr.’, I’m only seventeen; besides, it makes me feel all old. It’s Michael. Or Mikey, or Mike, or the Amazing M—whichever you prefer.

If your mom needs somewhere to stay, she’s welcome to come stay at my house. I know we don’t actually know each other, or anything, but any friend (or family) of Mathilda’s is a friend of the Lindes! But, if she doesn’t want to there’s a pretty reasonably priced hotel near the church the funeral will be held at.
