Hi everyone,

Firstly this is my Yule Tide gift to you but I would like to explain something first. I am doing something I never thought I would do as this is the first edit of this chapter which makes it unedited. I was hoping to submit a fully edited chapter but like some of you know my editor was in a major accident recently and is expected to be in hospital up until the New Year. The chapter may be a little rough around the edges and the fully edited version may be different to what you read here today but the beauty of this site is that I can go back in and edit an existing chapter.

So have fun, have a great Yule and may thoughts go out to my editor who is stuck in a hospital bed during Christmas.

PS… Willie… this is for you.

Chapter 8 (Unedited)

The group glanced around at the sudden change; they had gone from the light stone of the keep to a room lined with books. Amy smiled as she watched a few of the boys almost gravitate towards the books. “A-ha… a few more book worms,” walking further into the room Amy greeted her daughter.

Alanna grinned, “Being a book worm isn’t a bad thing.”

“Agreed.”

“Everyone I would like to introduce you to my mother, Amy.” Alanna told the room.

Everyone bowed to Amy which caused her to grin. “Okay, before we go off…” she walked further into the room and glanced around. “Clare!” Amy called out for her new assistant; Joe had eventually found her mate and had gone off to live with her Fae husband. Rachel her secretary had taken up the role but left when like Joe before her found her mate. After losing everyone one of her assistants through finding their mate, Amy had been adamant, her new assistant would be a mated pack member and when Joel, her driver/ bodyguard and Haley’s brother, found his mate Clare, Amy had lunged and grabbed hold of her glaring at any who approached her. Neither had minded, in fact they liked the fact that they weren’t separated by Amy’s work as Joel went wherever Amy did at his Alpha’s request.

Clare walked in and smiled, “yes.”

The box of ids, do you know where it is?” Amy asked.

Clare nodded, “it is on my desk, give me a moment and I’ll get it.” Turning she stepped out of the room for a moment and returned with a box. Handing it to Amy she smiled at the boys.

“This is Clare, she helps my mother not get over run and organises her days.” Alanna explained.

Clare knelt so that she was at Luca’s height, “oh you are a cutie.” She told the boy in his miniature armour, the knife he wore was big enough to look like a short sword on him. Luca glanced to Alanna for a moment before he smiled at Clare, the dimple in his left cheek made him more adorable.

“That is Luca, my nephew,” Amy said as she pulled out a pouch and handed it to the boy.

Luca opened the pouch and frowned as he came across two plastic cards.

“I take it Thais helped you.” Alanna asked.

“Yes I knew about this before you even met the boys,” Amy replied as she handed out pouches, once everyone had a pouch she came to stand before them. “Okay so the pouches I just have given to you have two cards in them.” she explained and everyone opened the pouches to see the cards and pulled them out to study them closer.
