66. Beautiful Eyes Collide (the original, unedited, unrevised poem.)

My mind forgets to remind me,
That really, we've only just met.
But something about you has me captivated,
And it's left me sort of...breathless.
I'm not sure what it might be,
But together, this feels like fire.
I can't help but think there might be a spark,
If we just let these feelings collide.
I'm afraid of the heartbreak I might find,
And I could, in the end, regret this.
But stepping back and weighing the options,
I think the potential outweighs the risk.
So maybe this time I'll let it be,
I'll stop, give up the fight.
Because it feels like I might've found my place,
Standing here, looking into your beautiful eyes.
