Love and Abuse

                I reach school, and put it into park, I get out and look around for Kodi, he’s not even here yet. I turn around and slam into Payton “Hey babe” he says to me with a smile on his face. He wraps his arm around my shoulders “I figured you’d cover up your bruises” he says in a low angry voice. Oh shit I think to myself, I didn’t even think about doing that. “Get back in the car I’ll be right back” he says, and runs toward a girl I’ve never seen before, I watch as she hands him something and he starts running toward me. “Didn’t I say get in the car” he pushes me toward the door, and hands me the object “Fix it now!” he demands from me. I look down at it, its foundation. He’s really determined to hide what he’s done. My phone goes off, I look down and it’s from Kodi “He’s bad news sweetheart, I think you should just get away from him” I just ignored it.

                I decide to rub the foundation on, and look at myself again, the bruises aren’t very visible. That will just have to do, I think to myself. I get out and walk over to Payton, where he’s talking with this new girl, “Hello” I say and wrap my arms around Payton, I feel him stiffen up. “Hello, you must be Madison” she says crossing her arms with a big smile. “Nice to meet you” I feel Paytons arm slowly come up around my shoulder “Um Madi, this is Cassidy” and stares at her. “You have yourself a pretty girlfriend Payton, congratulations” and she turns around and walks away from us.

                What a weird girl, Payton grabs my hand and starts dragging me towards school. “Stay away from her Madison” he says to me “Why” he turns around and slams me up against the lockers “Just do as I say” I just shake my head yes “Good” and he kisses my forehead “See you in first period ok?” and he walks away. I turn to my left, and there stood Cassidy “Demanding isn’t he?” she leans up against a locker, she’s such a beautiful girl, she’s got long blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes, she looks about 5’6 with long legs, she was wearing high heels, and skinny jeans, with a button up shirt and belt around her waist. “You don’t know anything” she laughs at me “I know a lot more than you think.” She turns around and walks down the hall.

                Ok? That was just weird. I grabs my stuff out of my locker and head towards first period, and of course, it’s Math. I walk in just as the bell rang, I walk over and sit down by Alexis, Payton turns around and looks at me, glaring at me, I just kind of shrug, he knows I always sit with Alexis. Alexis turns around “Whoa! What happened to your face girl” I feel heat rush to my face. That was so damn embarrising, I look up and see Payton glaring at me. I put my head down in my hands, “Is there a problem Ms. Jameson?” Alexis jerks her head towards Mr. Haden “No sir, I’m sorry” Alexis grabs my head and pulls it toward her so she can see what my face looks like.

                “Damn girl, what happened?” and she touches the cut on my cheek. “I fell” Alexis pulls away “Bullshit!” and I look away from her. This is going to be very hard to hide, and lie about. Especially when my best friends know I’m not accident prone. “Who did it” I look at her from the corner of my eye, and she’s looking at the desk. “Nobody I told you I fell” she just shakes her head and pulls her phone out. “What are you doing?” I ask her looking at her now, “I’m texting Kodi, he’ll know” I just sit back and look in my lap “Me and Kodi aren’t friends anymore” she stops and jerks her head towards me “WHAT?!” she screams “MS. JAMESON! Is there something you want to share with us?!” Mr. Haden says. “No sir” she says quietly “One more disruption in my class, you and Ms. Kennedy are out of my class and in detention today after school do you understand me?!” he demands. We both shake our heads, he’s a dick!

                We just spent the rest of the period not talking, when the bell rang Alexis got up and went out before I did. I don’t know why she’s so pissed, then Payton walks by me and bumps my shoulder “She’s trouble, I don’t want you hanging around her.” And he walks away from me “But shes my friend Payton! I dropped Kodi for you isn’t that enough” he jerked around and glared at me “Do it, today after school” and walks away from me, I turn around and there stood Cole, “Care to explain” he says raising an eyebrow “Nothing to explain Cole” and I walk past him, he grabs my shoulder and jerks me around “You dropped Kodi, and now you’re going to drop Alexis, are you serious? And you tell me there’s nothing to explain. Is Lexie and me next on his list?” I stare at him, I’m losing my friends because of my boyfriend. We’re just having a rough time right now, I can’t just leave him, I love him. Cole lets me go and just stands there “Madi, we love you, but he’s getting out of hand, making you drop them. Does he have a reason? Kodi cares so much for you.” Anger starts building up inside me “He has a psycho girlfriend who told me to leave him alone! That I wasn’t the only girl anymore. I accept that, but that’s because, I know I’m not now” he laughs at me “Kodi LOVES you Madison!!” and walks away from me.
