I stare into his eyes. The night sky is dark, ominous, like a warning of what is to come. I am fearful, but I do not show it. "Surrender," he orders. "Never."

The last word I spoke.

Unknown POV

This girl was a tough nut to crack. Well, not really a girl, a woman. One with an angel face, too. A shame I had to kill her, but, oh well, the deed is done. Its my job. Not a job I'm really proud of, but thats me. John Jackson. Hitman.

I must say I got sidetracked. My job was an unsusual one, given by an unnamed source. 10,000 greenbacks. Thats 10,000 beautiful girls I get for killing one. I'll take that any day.

Except today.

To be able to "hit" the target, you gotta find out about them. It can be sad, you can get attached to your prey if they're a good person, but If they're aren't---usually the case---then it only makes the satisfaction of the hunt greater. This was a case not in the latter type. I saw no reason for her execution, but then again, I shouldn't care. I was getting paid.

Once my research was complete, it came to another stage of the hunt. I was given her address, so I drove to her house, then passed and parked a while away. Then I hid in her bushes.

I waited for her to exit her house, which she finally did after 3 hours in the bush. I waited for her to drive away, then ran to my car and followed her.

Stage Three. Stalk.

She went to a place I was not suspecting, and made it harder for my job to be completed.

A library.

I followed her in, and waited to see where she would go. She went to the mystery section, pulled out a book entitled, "Hitman". How ironic.

She sat down to read, and I grabbed a random book and sat by her.

"Interesting book choice you got there".

"What..." It was her.

I looked down at the book I had randomly taken. How embarrassing.

I accidentally grabbed from the opposite shelf, which was "Teen Fiction". I had grabbed "Twilight."

"Oh, well you know, my daughter couldn't stop raving about it."

She smiled. Wow she had the cutest dimples. "Oh I see. For a minute there I thought you had followed me into the library and grabbed a random book."

What?? How did she notice that????

"Umm, well, I'm sure things like that happen a lot to a pretty lady like you."

She blushed, a color that looked ravishing with her ivory skin and lush, auburn hair....

Focus. You have to kill her.
